I bought one a few years ago; it collapsed the first time that my 14 stone body sat on it. Worse than a chocolate fire guard.

"New Product"??
Lol. They've been stocked in Poundlands for as long as there have been Poundlands. Good product though.

Been in my nearest Poundland for donkey's years. Bought one years ago, very small indeed. Okay for kids though.

I know how you feel mate. Sat on it in the shop and it buckled in a split second.

You want to see the colour of my stools after I've eaten a load of beans round the camp fire.

Interesting. Personally we've had a Poundland in our town for a few years, and every year when they get their rubbish camping gear in these stools are there.
Sadly as others have said, appalling quality, keep you about 6" above ground, tiny seat and they break very easily.
Unsuitable for children as they collapse/break very easily.
Thanks for posting though, hopefully you will take my note of caution as it is intended, as being helpful - pound shops make a lot of money from people buying things like this that last for a couple of uses then break, and that is not entirely a fair or ethical business model.

I got mine in around 2009. It's green, and it's still going strong- has easily held my weight even when I was up at 12.5st. It's tiny, but it's better than nothing when you need to travel light. It's currently in my lobby, for use when lacing up or removing footwear.
I suspect that Poundland has been forced to reduce the quality of construction- that's the problem with having an inflexible pricing model. I got a good camping mallet from there at the same time, and I notice they're smaller now.

I thought a camping stool was something you done in the bushes when the onsite toilets are shut.

That's a very good point. I've definitely noticed the quality or quantity going down on a lot of products. Pleased to hear that you have had a good one from way back when, the current ones are no good in my experience.

I bought one identical to those shown in the picture, now had it for at least 8 years, spent many a happy hour siting on it reading waiting in a queue for the doors to open on a SALE. I used to weigh 13 stone and it was fine.

I nearly bought this but the tag says goods for 80kg, hence why it probably collapsed. I did notice they have more robust ones for £2.00 in the poundland I went to.
