heh heh - I was only at the beginning making an observation rather than complaint - after all, the entire original listing was misconceived and mispriced!
Indeed, when they offered to honour the first case even though it was a misprice I was pleasantly impressed, so I was happy with the (albeit delayed) end result.
I do apologise though for upsetting anybody with my (I thought, slightly ironic) pedantry - it was certainly not intended.

I am just totally confused now - the picture shows 2013 vintage on the label, I received a 2014 vintage, and the title description said it was NV (by definition sparkling) - I can not see how "exactly as ordered" this can be interpreted as.
It is a very minor matter, and have tried it now and found it to be very pleasant, so I am not entirely sure whether it is actually worth arguing over. I am quite content for you to believe what you received to be "exactly as ordered", if you will allow me to hold the opinion that what I received is "not quite as ordered".

I see what you mean about the 'NV' in the description, and the discrepancy (potentially highly relevant) between the 2013 on the label and the 2014 delivered. Maybe they used the NV (wrongly) to indicate that they didn't know which year was being supplied!
I suspect the Amazon approach would be to apologise profusely and offer a refund if you return it - at their expense of course.

Exactly Newbold. Dry wine is what was offered, ordered & delivered. (eventually)

The clue is in the original title and description. The title says "NV" which is exclusively used for Champagnes, sparkling wines and fortified wines (eg Port) The description gives a detailed description of how their sparkling wine is produced (using only free-running juice...). I am not complaining but the title and description appear to be at odds with the picture on the original listing. The picture (when I magnified it a bit!) did indeed show only a still wine, but when the picture is at odds with the main title and description then I tend to favour the latter as being the most accurate.

Arrived today. Nice of them to partially honour their offer (eventually), but would have been nicer to receive what was originally ordered (Camel NV 75 cl sparkling rather than 2014 dry), but hey-ho, perhaps thought would have been a cost too far to cover for the error

It's exactly what was ordered, isn't it? At least that's what my original order shows.

Same email today as above. I am unsure if they mean they'll only honour 1 bottle or the complete case of 3. I only ordered 1 case.

I hoping that 1 unit means a unit of 3 bottles...otherwise why not say bottle...and when they honour a price it usually means the price is higher elsewhere...and at £17 its cheaper elsewhere....its 3 bottles, I've convinced myself

for an English wine it's not bad.
I doubt it would get the plaudits if it was French.
I buy this for clients direct (collected) from their vineyard and it's usually £12 a bottle so it's a good buy.
I prefer bordeaux reds.

The Cornish bubbly that could be world class: Winemaker becomes first Briton to be shortlisted for top champagne award
Sam Lindo is one of only three winemakers in the world to be nominated
The 37-year-old is the first English winemaker to make the shortlist
Camel Valley Wines has won several awards over the years
could someone tell us what's special about this wine?

It's cheaper than it usually is, it's English and it's a decent one. And Tesco don't sell it.

If like me you don`t have Prime it`s sometimes handy to order these things in order to get other things which are things that you really needed but with the chance that the mispriced things could still come which is an added bonus :smirk:
