Will work fine with a steam controller, which frankly unless you have been crippled by the xbox claw and can't shift to a looser grip for PS style controllers is the best investment a PC gamer that likes to use a controller can make.

I use a controller for all pc games but then I have my pc under the tv and play from the sofa so the keyboard mouse is a no go. I'm sure the controller isn't as accurate but the idea of being sat at a desk for hours on end playing a game sounds like hell!!

Not to criticise anybodies playing style i.e. controller but be warned if you do go onto multiplayer as you will get thrashed.

To be fair, some people like myself, who play majority of pc games with keyboard and mouse, still tend to use a controller when playing some games, including fps, on my TV via hdmi, so in that sense it would have been nice to have that support for instances like that. Maybe that's why the original poster is bummed out.

Haven't played FPS on PC for a loooong time (think Quake III was my last), but am starting to re-invest into PC gaming now.. surely WASD + mouse is good for this? I can only imagine controller being a hindrance, as mousing seems so much quicker ?

I use a controller for single player games like Witcher 3 on PC. With games like Call of Duty though you're at a disadvantage with a controller
