I was looking through Aliexpress for unofficial mtape cartridges as they're cheaper. I found this 5 pack for £16.53 which works out at £3.24 each. Seems reasonable to me  bonus is that they are different colours too!
I need something like this for address labels.......any ideas?

Standard printer and address label sheets? That's what I use for labelling beer bottles. You can use Word or Libreoffice for labels, plenty of tutorials on youtube. If the label sheets you buy have an Avery code, or compatible code, on them then there'll probably already be a template built in, or you can just download a template.

I've had both the ones listed above, the biggest rip off is not just the fact they charge you an astronomical amount for the tapes, its the fact that you cant reduce the margins it leaves at either end of the printed stuff. Just another ploy to use more tape.
Obviously I get the cheapo tapes so I can live with it.

Good price.
I got one a while ago for more. First thing I printed was 'label maker' to label my my label maker.

I have one of these....it eats batteries if you leave them in. I had high power duracell's in it, left it for a few weeks, all completely flat. Just remember to take the batteries out when not in use

I prefer the one I posted as it has a Qwerty Keyboard, the other one doesn't. The other does take varying sized tapes thou so depends what you want really, both do the same job.

I have one and they are great.prefer the compatible tape to the brother brand. easier to peel and a little thicker.the only thing is with a little rubbing the text can come off. it isnt a problem at all,i put a bit of tape over it and the jobs done.

Could you link an example of a compatible tape to buy? I'm a little confused on which to buy in regards to compatible tapes:smiley:
Also, this or the PT-90?

Bought and already printed several pointless labels. It comes with 4m of 9mm tape which I don't think is mentioned.

I love Aliexpress! You'll probably find the rolls of tape are manufactured by the same company and repackaged for Brother to make it look better. Cheers for sharing the link

They make their money back on the tapes, love me most printers.

Fakes yes they are. You can get 1 piece lots for around £3.50, might be worth it.
