Works out cheaper than home brand equivalent. Still £40 online.

My indicator on my jug says change every month - I just reset it and change it about every 3 months. Works fine and the water still tastes great. Sod the indicator, way for them to make more money from us.

I think it depends how much water you use to be honest. I found that if you don't change it for a while you will have a black bits on bottom underneath filter after you take it out. Maybe it depends of water area.

***loweeze79*** do you have any reason to believe this is a clearance price?
I shake your hand, 30% off is very good
Their website stubbornly says £40

If I remember rightly it was just a normal shelf price label. Not in a clearance section. HTH
It's 50% off though - half of £40 is £20 :P

I saw about 4 boxes on the shelf. Not sure if they have more in the back.

**loweeze79** thanks for that I shall call the Asda store near me and see what they say.
Not being rude about it, the going rate is £30, give or take.
Only the town idiot would pay £40

I'm in London and the water is so hard I think I can taste the difference after a month of the filter being used, but then I do drink a lot of plain iced water. I think after a month I start to get a film on the top of a brewing cup of tea again too.
Having said that, I only use half the amount of laundry detergent the packets advise, that is a con that seems to be getting worse.

It seems to have "sffected" your spelling. BOOM BOOM!

Yep. In west London area it's a must to change the filter a month. TBH beacuse I can taste the change I should be changing it after three weeks.
