I bought this in 2015 in another deal for £15.99 and can vouch that it's an excellent pump for road and MTB tyres; much better than my original Lidl one which eventually blew out. It's very solidly built, the long hose is useful, the pump head is easily fitted and removed and the top-mounted gauge is better than having one at the bottom.

I've had my Lidl pump for a few years and it seems to be holding out despite me constantly expecting it to fail. By 80 psi I have to put my full body weight on it. No way I'd get it close to 100 psi.
We had a Joe Blow at my old work. Shared for anyone to use. It got treated like crap and shared between about 30 cyclists but always worked.

Ditto the comments on Aldi & Lidl pumps. Just had a Lidl one go pop blowing up a car tyre to the dizzy heights of 38 PSI, glad I kept the receipt this time.
Definitely worth extra investment with these.

Track pumps are a poor choice for car tyres due to the actual volume of air you need to shift. You probably overheated the valve seal.

Aldi pump does the job to a point but struggles to get above 100psi. A better pump will get you there and beyond much quicker and with less huffing and puffing!

Or spend the £5 you're saving and get a joe blow from CRC, I've had my joe blow for well over 10 years now, not missed a beat despite having been treated like ****, everything from the barrel to the head is replaceable, so should you break it, it breaks etc, money not wasted.
and yes, I've had to replace the head due to be oaf like and standing on it..

Aldi one I had lasted a matter of minutes before the valve connector bust.
A Joeblow (£25ish) I replaced it with has lasted 4 years and is as good as new.
It all seems to be in the connector, reviews are varied when it comes to attaching this one to the valve...

Exactly the same here.
Eventually the valve will wear, it just seems as if the maintenance kit costs almost as much as the pump did.

Yeah. I wouldn't be surprised if it was essentially the same pump as this Airace Infinity Turbo Steel Floor Pump, which was £38.99 and got a 9/10 review in road.cc. I can't be sure, but they have a lot in common.
Alternatively, if you live near an Edinburgh Bicycle Co-Op you can get what I believe to be the same pump with minor cosmetic differences for £13.99 (Was £27.99). They do free delivery for orders over £20, otherwise it's £3.50.
