Best Add-on on Amazon for increasing orders to over £20.00 for free delivery.. if you order that item for £19.99 then you can use this to increase to over the threshold, great when you literally only need to add a few pence.
This isnt here to get heat it is purely to give a heads up for those who need it.
Obviously if you need to increase by over a few pounds its better to order something else as an add-on, but these are perfect for the 1-15p pence thats missing.

Apologise to everyone as I think I have just confused myself with that reply never mind anyone else
Best advice I've been given is to add pre-order video games to bump up your total. Get to £20, the add on will get despatched, then cancel the pre-order. No need to order crap you don't need!
Lol. Maybe you don't fully appreciate one of the directors of Pepper Deals Ltd (HUKD) is also a director of Maple Syrup Media Ltd (Quidco)?

Thank you. Went back and checked and one item was a marketplace seller, so changed it and all OK now.

Why on earth would a business do that? If you want a charity try Barnados.

I have just been trying to get free delivery, but every add on I have put in the basket doesn't seem to count. The order has to be £20 without the add on.
If anyone knows differently please let me know.

Are all the items in basket sold and/or fulfilled by Amazon? Items listed by marketplace sellers do not count towards free delivery MoV.

Cheers op.
Drives me so wild trying to find penny items to get order above £20. Sometimes I just cancel the whole order and go sit in a dark room to calm down...

There is a site or blog for this which unfortunately I've lost so I'd like to know too. Might be worth just doing a search for Amazon low price add on items?

Yes I know that it's nothing new as I've been doing it for years too but I was replying to post #2 from someone who didn't know that you could either just order add-on items or a mixture of normal price and add-on items as long as the total of the order is over £20 you'll a) be able to order the add-on items and b) qualify for free super saver delivery.

This site will help you find something cheap to complete an order. Not as thorough as scouring the Amazon website, but will find you a filler item in a hurry:
The tool scours Amazon for small filler items to bump up your order to £20. Just enter your basket total and it'll display a list of items with prices close to the cost of the difference.
This was mentioned in MSE's MoneyTips email in May this year.

It works - usually - but sometimes you need to contact Amazon for a manual cancellation with this trick.
There's also the risk that if you try it on too often Amazon will see you as a customer they don't care too much for and you'll find your account cancelled, along with all the media attached to it. That is not, by all accounts, something to be treated lightly because once they've done it they won't budge.

Or..
If you need to order an add-on item which costs e.g.£5 and want free delivery you can add a pre-order game to the basket and then cancel it from your account. The add-on will still be shipped and preorders don't get charged until the release date.
Welcome.

You're very welcome, I'm just glad I've been of some help :innocent:
Thankfully you understood what I was trying to say as although I knew what I was trying to say I was failing miserably to put it into any kind of coherent explanation...sleep deprivation certainly has a lot to answer for when it comes to my thought processes :stuck_out_tongue:

That's exactly what I did.
The missus wanted some new flower pots and the ones we saw were add on items. Added enough to the basket to make it £20 and ordered no problem

is there any way to search for just add on items as they are usually brilliant value?
Ah I see, I think that was the problem I had before. I had prime and my order for 3 items, 2 od which were add on items, was under £20 and it wouldn't let me place the order. Now I know for future orders thanks

I was under the impression that add on items don't count towards the £20 spend free delivery threshold?
You can place an order entirely of add-on items and as long as the order total is over £20 you get free super saver delivery but in order to order add-on items you need to spend a minimum of £20 but it doesn't matter whether it is just add-on items or a mixture of normal priced items and add-on items
Even if you have prime and you want to order add-on items you've still got to spend £20 in total to get the add-on items...there were a few add-on items I was after but had been building them up until I had enough add-on items to make the £20 total on their own so have just placed an order of £20 consisting of add-on items only.
