BabyStart Deluxe Travel Cot - Natural is reduced to £49.99 from £62.99 @ Argos. If you sign up to Emma's Diary, you can print off an Argos voucher giving you an additional £30 off - making it just £19.99!

Yes I missed out and others got, but fair play to them for being quick off the mark and getting them. If the stocks all gone and none left for me and I truly needed one, there are plenty places that sell them so no need to moan about missing out. You snooze, you loose! 22 Aug 161#246
I totally agree that people who are profiting from this are taking the pee and that it's not in the spirit of HUKD.
However, it's not like Argos decided one day 'Today we are going to give away thousands of pounds worth of travel cots and mattresses to pregnant people and parents because we want to help them out'.
There was no entitlement of pregnant people or parents to make use of this deal. It was a mistake by Argos and a glitch.
There has been enough stock of the items, so people could theoretically have got them, but the problem has been that Argos have stopped the voucher from being used as it wasn't being used on items they had initially intended.
It is a fabulous deal - the OP deserves a VIP badge for this - and it's wonderful that it's helped so many people and lasted so long!
So many of these deals on HUKD come down to one thing; luck. And those that made use of this voucher got lucky
24 hours must be some kind of glitch record

Its full of "mums to be packs" why dont you ever get "dad to be packs or mum and dads pack?? I seen a post on social media for sale site someone selling babystart items, few travel cots, matresses. Thats a p**s take someone taking advantage to make a bit of profit when other familys who need one cant get the offer because they being rufused.
To be fair, I think Argos made a mistake with the wording of the voucher as they wouldn't have ever intended to give anything away for free, so I can understand that once they realised there was a problem then they stopped accepting the voucher.
The only problem is the inconsistency with which they are dealing with the issue, however with it being such a large company that's not unexpected as it's only been about 24 hours since the 'glitch' came to light.
Seeing as the voucher was meant for babystart furniture I'd expect them to reissue it with clearer terms (ie wooden furniture, as was probably the initial intention).
I wouldn't have called a travel cot furniture, nor would I call the mattress, which people are getting with the voucher, furniture.
I think those who have used the voucher just been incredibly lucky.
Kudos to Argos for letting some people have them, that's more than other stores would have!

I wasn't unlucky Hun, I got link up and showed them and they honoured it, I've only seen the link for deluxe travel cot. That is what they said in store to me about people taking 'p' etc So apparently only going to be working on wooden furniture.
He even carried it to my car for me.
Yea it shouldn't be generic code and should specify also the quality of vouchers are very poor anyway.
gem_scorpio30
22 Aug 16#232
I've been to Argos this morning and the reason they have stopped this is because of people taking the 'p' by attempting to buy cheaper than £30 ones making them Free! They had an email around this morning about it, if you manage to get one still then you are lucky.
Apparently the voucher was only intended for wooden furniture or this travel cot as per the link, not the ones people have been buying!
Also people have been buying more than one by photocopying the vouchers! Shame on the greedy people!!!!
GeordieAffy2014 to gem_scorpio30
22 Aug 16#234
Shame you was unlucky. No the link I shared it also shows the cheaper travle cot.
But agree 100% with the greedy comment ... Shame the vouchers didn't have a specific code per voucher rather than a generic one. Hence people have been getting 5+ items for free when all we really want is one to use. Safe to say Argos ain't making that mistake again.

Which they got told by head office. For gods sake i never get deals whereas other people have had success! I will give it another try at the other store in few days as they said its valid till Jan.

My friend went this morning and said that the manager had to call head office, and they ok'd it.
Can't tell you more than that but they came away with a travel cot (the free one). They're dropping it round to my house later to be donated to the women's shelter as an emergency cot, so it will be well used and very much appreciated.
It's a shame to see so many on eBay but it looks like they don't come with any mattress at all?! I had a graco travel cot which was a similar sized package and had a sort of fold up mattress included in the bundle which fitted in the travel bag. It's odd if this one doesn't have some sort of padded bottom/mattress - I'd be miffed if I'd paid full price, taken it on holiday and only realised when I got there that I needed to buy a separate mattress for it. I thought people were mentioning mattresses itt as a sort of upgrade from the standard base, if they wanted to use it for more than a few days.
Awesome freebie OP - you have helped loads of people out. It's lovely reading the success stories on this thread

I bought one for £19.99 - i went to a different argos where i personally know the manager and was advised she couldnt put the vouchers through the tills. A memo had come down from the business manager to refuse the £30 off vouchers with more info coming on monday. I wanted the £27.99 one (for free) to give to someone who needs one. But it looks like its hit and miss with stores. I guess store and assistant managers are not reading memos.

I understand people are annoyed at others who have gotten more than one item but I think Argos would have noticed this error regardless of being inundated with purchases or not. People were getting travel cots for free or other items ridiculously cheap! Managers at branches will no doubt have contacted their regional managers who in turn would let head office know. This promotion error was/possibly still is time limited regardless of bulk buying or not. People might get lucky with it tomorrow but I doubt it will last for the rest of the week. Be persistent but don't wait around either. Good luck everyone

Some people Are being so greedy on here ..and it's not letting people who need them get one ... Yes I got one ... But surely everyone only needs one ... This is why these vouchers has now had a email sent to all Argos's to refuse the vouchers ...GREED IS NOT A NICE TRAIT ......sharing is caring ...rant over xxx

As some others I got the £28 one from bicester argos in homebase. No issues or questioning of voucher validity but I did add another item (baby stacking toy) so I was paying something and the full £30 was discounted. Note, the 'mattress' of the £28 cot is pretty non-existent, thinner than any other travel cot we've used. Not complaining since better than free but will be adding some additional cushioning.

When the sales advisor applies the discount code it takes it off the whole transaction.
Technically it should only be BabyStart items with a value of at least £30 but I think advisors don't want to have a lot of hassle dealing with these vouchers.
It must just depend on who serves you based upon reading some of the comments on here.
Keep trying and good luck

I reserved the 27.99 cot and another item, like the BabyStart car seat booster seat for 6.99. Then gave them the 30.00 off voucher at the till. The person at the till put the vouchers as promotional media code 20488 as 30.00 discount. So only paid 4.98 in total at the till. Remember there is no minimum spend on voucher, it just looks better if you pay something.

Success again!
Yesterday I got the BabyStart Travel cot for £19.99 and today I got the following:
There was some confusion with my bed rail reservation. Apparently it was supposed to be transferred in from another branch. The guy serving me was very kind and has arranged for it to be delivered for free to my home tonight.
The transactions did take longer today and the guy serving me checked a file to see if anything was mentioned about the vouchers - he couldn't see anything.
I chanced my arm with the 2nd transaction, he was hesitant (he explained that it should be one voucher per customer) but I asked him if he wouldn't mind trying and see if it would go through.
I don't normally get some much with a deal here on HotUKDeals but with so much included in the promotion I thought, "why not!".
Good luck to everyone else and I'm sorry to hear about others beginning unsuccessful - it does appear to be at the discretion of the advisor/manager at the min so worth checking another local branch if you can. Oh, and be nice to the staff regardless of the outcome

You know that's dangerous don't you? The filling in a duvet can suffocate a little baby. Baby mattresses are design to stop their head from sinking into it. Don't give them a baby duvet either. Or a bumper set. Another dangerous item! I know I sound over cautious but cot death isn't something to be taken lightly.

Firstly, thank you OP for this fantastic deal you have found. There will be many happy babies (and parents!).
I was going to post this anyway, but my answer may help you out, neo_segauk.
I'm going to try and get the BabyStart Travel Cot Mattress which costs £19.99 along with the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Feeding Bottles 6 x 250ml which costs £13.49. Hoping to get everything for £3.48 as diluvsdiscounts got non-related items reduced while using their £30.00 off voucher. It appears that Argos process the £30 off the total balance due and not off the actual item. Worth a go at least.

I just managed to get the double bed guard for £4.99  thanks OP! ...will have to upload receipt later as going to work now.
Yeah thats why I deleted my comment because I missed the other comment saying they actually got the product. Might have to try a few different argos's. Although I'm hoping to see if I can get the "Grey and Green" for free lol

Looks like it's hit and miss, depending on different stores. It definitely comes under the "Nursery Furniture" category via their website.

Went to pay said it is under baby travel and not under nursery furniture

If you reserve the product at your nearest Argos store, you will then need to hand over the coupon to the cashier at the checkout.

Pre ordered .... But i don't think they will except it off because it doesn't come under nursery furniture

It does come under nursery furniture... if you click on Baby & Nursery Category.... then under top brands select BabyStart > nursery furniture..

this is just what I've been looking for. going to give it a try today. surely a cot of any sort can be classed as nursery furniture.

Very good deal. My advice is to try more than one argos. Some branch managers are more flexible than others. Good luck.

does this work on any babystart item e.g. pushchair? I can't read the small print on the downloaded voucher and is there a minimum spend? thanks
Pre ordered thanks op lets see if argos honour it tomorow

Shouldn't be an issue. By photocopies I think they just mean duplicates of the same voucher. I believe the reference number at the top of the voucher sheet is used to prevent this from occurring.

Amazingly they have stock at my local argos, but i registered on that website and can't find the voucher anywhere - has it been withdrawn ?
Please use, the vouchercode # 20488 in the argos vouchers page (the last one in order)
£19.99 bargain
all really needed as grandchild on the way,
now the other thing i got was the tommee tippee essentials starter kit 143/7335 which is £9.99, used my £10 off voucher making it free and then paid for the tommee tippee bottles x 6 which are half price at the minute
Thanks
Now that is a disgrace. She isn't even selling them at the retail price, but over that price tag.
Have been told it's only for items onBabystart furniture page 1384
Babystart Cots Page 1386:
Might just go get the travel cot as my £10 voucher ends today.
What store was this? Tbh the managers nice enough normally at argos but you do get some that be very angry lol.
I just couldn't deal with arguing. Was already knackered walking up there. Just to get refused. Would of probably been better had my husband gone in with me. Oh well im well gutted!
And on that note, thanks OP!

Under which i could find no items by Babystart! At least not when i was looking on my mobile
He even carried it to my car for me.
Yea it shouldn't be generic code and should specify also the quality of vouchers are very poor anyway.
Apparently the voucher was only intended for wooden furniture or this travel cot as per the link, not the ones people have been buying!
Also people have been buying more than one by photocopying the vouchers! Shame on the greedy people!!!!
But agree 100% with the greedy comment ... Shame the vouchers didn't have a specific code per voucher rather than a generic one. Hence people have been getting 5+ items for free when all we really want is one to use. Safe to say Argos ain't making that mistake again.

Then she came back and said it has to be wooden which I said no it doesn't say that anywhere.
Then she put it through ... Result!
Mind you I did buy something else I needed so it looks better but I don't think they care.
So it's still working people but won't be for much longer I bet so be fast.
Big Big thanks to Birt3108
Not too much longer to go! I hope you have an easy labour - my friend just had her first and was only in labour for 30 minutes and it all went well. I hope yours is so easy
So just depends how much the communication has flowed through stores.
So you will just have to try to know.
Technically it should only be BabyStart items with a value of at least £30 but I think advisors don't want to have a lot of hassle dealing with these vouchers.
It must just depend on who serves you based upon reading some of the comments on here.
Keep trying and good luck
Argos are gonna ave a headache tommorow with the amount of stock that they pretty much gave away! checked stock in about 50 stores are most of OOS now.
Anyone trying, don't give up.
Yesterday I got the BabyStart Travel cot for £19.99 and today I got the following:
Travel Cot Mattress (£19.99)
White Sheets (£6.99)
Tommee Tippee Bottles 6pk (£13.49)
and on a separate transaction:
Double Bed Rail (£34.99)
Total spend today was £15.46!
1st receipt
2nd receipt
Mum went to collect the £27.99 and not only was it free but the cashier gave her a gift card for £2.01 as balance for the voucher
It's going to be dropped off at my local women's refuge later this week.
Thanks op and the person who posted he link to the £27.99 one!
I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying life
Thanks x
but yeah I agree with your comments.
I'm hoping to get one for my local women's refuge.
The £27.99 cot is reserved and the voucher printed!
I can't go so I'm sending mum out...she's nervous, like I'm asking her to rob the place of a free cot
See diluvsdiscounts's post quoted below.
Potential to re-use ?

No questions asked, once they'd worked out where to put the code in
First time i went they refused but i went back spoke to a manager who apologised and put it through no issues.
