Fantastic game, sadly the franchise went down hill after this title, would love to see this revived as rebooted IP, nothing more satisfying as catching crazy ass monkeys

Interesting fact: the first Ape Escape game was the first game to use twin analog sticks.

I will never buy any of these ps2 games on ps4 until they offer cross buy with ps3. not offering backward compatibility is one thing but no cross buy which they could have easily done as they could have checked your account to verify if you own it is another and just plain greedy and sleazy.

PS2 games don't run on PS3 in the first place, so surely cross-buy isn't relevant? Are you thinking of PS1 games released as PSone Classics?

Huh? Nintendo's IP's may reside under the same name, but that's where the similarity ends. Have either Sony or Microsoft ever innovated in ways like (for example) SMW>M64 (Mario) or Ocarina>Majoras Mask (Zelda) or SM>MP (Metroid)...
If so I'd like proof.

It's strange... I bought this today due to this deal and I'm loving it more than most ps3 games and ps4 games I've played in the last year.

I enjoyed it more as it handled, looked and played better. Probably aged better too! I like the first PS1 game too though, great use of analogue sticks

That's not a bad price compared to most old games on PSN, especially as I think this is a bit rare on PS2 nowadays. Shame they ended the series with a rubbish PS move game

Damn, I'm a PC gamer but games like this, Wipeout and God of War really make me miss the PlayStation :/ PS2 was my childhood (yes, I'm still young, but my point still stands  )

Cheap disposable nostalgia for roughly 10 minutes. NOT worth the £6 being asked.
Yeah i feel the same of this for most of 30 yrs of milked IP's from Nintendo.

I remember renting the first game back in the day and being confused as hell because I had never touched the analog sticks for any game before it.

Still remember to this day begging my old man to rent this from Blockbuster's as a kid then being told I couldn't play it due to the 'dual shock' controller requirement. Although thinking back was it the analog controller or dual shock one you needed to play or both? I only had the digital one at the time.

It was actually the first Playstation game that required analog sticks, not the first to use them.
