Hi again, just to let you know I received my jackets this morning (yes I bought all 3 lol) and although this Whistler model doesn't have the thumb loops, the Zermatt model does and feels in particular outstanding quality. Whether you feel that's worth the extra £20 I don't know.

It has 100gm insulation for the body and 80gm for the arms. Unless you are intending to climb mountains at altitude then it is plenty warm.

My experience and I have a fair few Animal items is that the sizes are as they should be. Not on the big or small size. I have an Animal Snowboarding jacket (which this will replace) that I bought 10 years ago and still fits me fine today. I am a large build at 6'4 and 45" chest. Not a brand that only caters to slim fittings. Hope that helps.
