I got one of these a couple of years back for when I'm drying my clothes on an airer. It's amazing how much water it collects. It is only a small one so won't banish mould in a whole house but I've been really pleased with mine. It has an auto cut out when it's filled with water and then I use that water for my steam iron.

These are tiny. Cheap, but tiny. Extraction rate won't be good enough for truly damp rooms... we regularly extract 1l+ from our partially underground office at home in order to keep the RH around 50%.
