erm i guess if you dont want to use the actual bench part
but you can get an actual basic squat stand for this money which will probably be higher rated and racks with spotters for little more

how much weight can this bench take and can i purchase them from argos aswell?

The maximum weight (including barbell and weights) this Adidas Pro Multi Purpose Bench can take is 150kg.
Argos don't sell weights or barbells designed specifically for this bench, but it would be compatible with the Pro Fitness Vinyl Barbell Dumbbell Set - 25kg (151/4849), among others.
