The thing that distinguishes an OTG cable is that at the host end the fifth pin (mini or micro connector) is connected to ground, to tell the OTG-capable device (phone or tablet) to switch to host mode. Without that, it won't work, regardless of the combinations of connectors.

Great price, but I once ordered a cheapo OTG cable and the larger end was sliding back and forth, had desoldered itself...junk. Bought a Sony branded one months ago a from another ebay seller for £1.49, and its rock solid, even the plastic feels better, keep a look out
