Farmfoods today had 240 Typhoo tea bags for £1.99, which works out at 0.83p per bag.
These were the standard bags (not the one cup rubbish) and the cheapest I've seen them. Plenty on the shelf with the other hot drinks.

Typhoo used to be the best but when they cashed in on the diluted 1 cup it's now is very weak and almost everyone I know prefers to pay more for PG or Tetley but this is a good price

It is actually PG that reduced the amount of tea in their bags. Regular Ty-phoo has not changed.

Actually it works out at 0.00829 p per bag .
Nothing wrong with their tea , always good for guests!
Farmfoods also good for milk and cheese.

Always buy from Farm Foods, and this is even better deal they have on.. Best Tea Bags and PG are awful, would not buy them at an even lower price

I cant speak for myself as drink coffee not tea, but my Mum always got Yorkshire tea until
recently she ran out and local shop only had Typhoo, she is now converted to Typhoo.
Take from that what you will.

I don't know why Typhoo doesn't get more love than it does. Forget the one cup rubbish (which is rubbish for EVERY company which does this), granted it's subjective but I find Typhoo tastes better than Tetley (just doesn't taste right) or PG (watery you have to leave in for 5 mins just to get a taste). Yorkshire tea is better but there's not much in it.
Maybe it's because there always seems to be discounts on Typhoo people expect it to be rank. Anyway I miss the Gnu (anyone else remember that?)

1) Justright01 , you are right , you are right it works out at less than 1p per bag , so is good value.
2) As to good and bad teas , a lot depends how hard or soft your water is, affects the taste of tea .
When I visit Norwich the tea tastes lovely, not sure what water they have there.
