Wickes have some decent deals on loft ladders. I've just reserved the 2 section for collection but they also have the 3 section and some telescopic ladders also reduced.

Watch out for the weight limits on these. I have a very similar looking one and max weight is 95kg. That's under 15 stone. Might not sound too bad but that will include anything you are carrying up/down too.

Have a good look at the measurements, as when I fitted one I had to make my hatch bigger to allow for the pivot of the ladder. Might've just been a small hole though, I guess.

Yeah that's the only thing stopping me, having never fitted one before i'm unsure how much trouble it would be. Mine is just a sheet of wood that lifts into the loft no hinges etc.

EDIT: found this http://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/loft-hatch-problems.67225/ hopefully mine is just bits of wood attached to the inside of the hatch that I can prise off and move.

Only got my phone with me and normally no issues with wickes. Won't work on chrome or Firefox but does work with dolphin.
