Careful though, the Tesco pre-order price promise is a little sneaky.

If it is cheaper on release, they will indeed give you back the difference.

However, they have a habit of making the item cheaper before release, then putting it back up to full price on release day. Unlike Amazon for example, you don't get the product for the cheapest price it has been, you only get it for either what you originally paid, or the price actually on release date.

I'm really sorry to hear that your pre-order of Forza Horizon 3 was removed from you order, I understand this must be disappointing, especially as this was included in our two for £80.00 promotion.

I have looked into this and have found that unfortunately due to a system error, this game is being removed from orders due to a pick failing.

Yeah 2 ways, if you bought something from them, then they usually send you either a letter through the post or a text giving you £25/£30 off £50/£60 spend, they send me around 3-4 throughout the year.

the other way is like you said purchase something with a first time buyer discount code, usually £25 off £50 or more spend, but you have to open a credit account, which doesn't mean much, because you can pay it all off right then and there or you can 'take 3' which lets you pay over 3 months.

Do you only get them if you've purchased from them before or if you sign up to receive emails? I've seen vouchers if you sign up for their credit scheme but nothing else

Double check the small print, most of their big money off vouchers like that aren't redeemable on Electrical goods. I've used Very vouchers before though to get 3 recently released PS4 games for £75 though, which was awesome.

Buying games through this deal "Forza Horizon 3 & FIfa 17 " Works out cheaper through this deal than buying them from another region like India, Russia etc that I normally do.

For the standard edition of these games it's a better buy. Limited editions are better bought through region switching though.

Im so pleased that im behind the times, still playing on my PS3. Such a back catalogue to get through yet aswell (Im blame having children!) So by the time i actually get my hands on a PS4 these games will probably be £15 a piece at most ,here's hoping anyway.

It is when the days of £25 release day prices are long gone and you have 3 lads (including me of course) in the household who all want FIFA.
We can go on all day about the true worth of something and come release day someone somewhere may well run a promotion which may mean you can get it a little cheaper, however judging by previous years, that is highly unlikely so therefore makes this deal hot.

Same can be said for COD!

Tesco have never let me down with the past ten plus pre order games I've purchased from them over the last couple of years. They have all been delivered on release day at the latest . Delivery tends to be via courier ( no signature needed ) rather than by post.

FIFA and COD are the only two games from that selection that historically hold their value well after release. The likes of Mafia 3 and Last Guardian (games I fancy) will drop quickly and I'm not in a huge rush to buy them on launch.

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that when you've got kids!! Early Dec birthday, so they miss out on Oct/Nov unless they're good enough to save up their own money to buy it before that, but saying they can't have it on release date so no point having it at all doesn't really work for kids.

I used this offer last year to pick up Witcher, Uncharted, MGS5 and Until Dawn. I think its a great offer as getting a game for £35 on day 1 is about as good as you're going to get. Just as some people have mentioned make sure you select to split delivery or all the games won't be posted until the release date of the furthest away game.

I remember one year...they had this deal AND the boost overlapping for one day only. Was like a cosmic collision of deals. Cleaned up on new games on that day, carefully planning the purchases so they'd be far enough apart release date wise, so I wouldn't end up with a pile of unused new games. Stretched it out for nearly a whole year, ending with Uncharted 4. £17.50 each for a load brand new games. Those were the days! BRING BACK THE BOOST!!!
