There used to be a few in Newcastle area. No longer. There are occasional farmers markets, but prices are obscene and frankly, none too impressed with the eggs I bought. No better than what Lidl's were selling for about 25% of their price

There is at least 1 in Edinburgh which sells good free range eggs from their own hens, Gorgie City Farm on Gorgie Road

In what way am I a parasite? I come to a deals site for deal. I have a better deal than this with lidl eggs at 15 for £1 which taste the same and is a better deal. Chicken are just cattle to me raised for eating- how they are raised is no concern to me. The cheaper the better.

I wonder if anyone did a blind taste test whether they could tell the difference... :P

Tasteless eggs from chickens fed on ****. Cold at any price. Do yourself a favour and nip down to the local farm shop or get six for a quid off a neighbour. Far better value for the quality.

I think Lidl has 15 Large free range for about this price too.

Nothing like hen period to start the day.

I bought this free range deal last time. I see no difference in size or taste between these free range and my usual £1 for 15 eggs from lidl. I'm sticking with lidl.

free range can also mean 13 chickens in a cage instead of the usual 14 per m² and I find the normal lidl 10 x box @£80p one of the best around

Of course- I don't care about chickens, I care about money in my pocket so the lidl eggs are cheaper and there are more of them. I don't see where I have been inconsistent here.
