I checked other stores local to me for 21 day mature rump steaks and this was a good price when you include the extra bundle. I also ordered the hache steaks as they are amazing. I only order once in a while but have to say the quality is great, the chicken fillets are well tasty!

Even if you go to somewhere like Aldi and get 10 decent steaks you're looking at around £30 alone. And the quality will be nothing in comparison.
That doesn't include the extra bundle...

I am surprised you say the chicken was off, it is normal for there to be a smell from the packaging because there is a gas in the packaging for freshness. It even says on the packaging as well as on the website remove from packaging 30 mins before cooking

Just had a couple of steaks for breakfast and they are good. Not sure I would say the cut is rump though. The chicken on the other hand was off, and went straight in the bin.

By the time you drain the excessive blood out, it's even less weight. If it was any good I would have ordered again, I tried twice with Wastin Gourmet , enough. Meat is so variable, it's best to see it first. As for grass fed, it depends on the quality of the grass, ahem!

Very much doubt these animals were fed much on grass. Normally it just means they were occasionally put out to pasture but the majority of what they ate were most probably animal feed. It wouldn't be cost effective for the farmers to just let them eat grass. The animals need to be fed protein to bulk them up. This should be obvious to anyone who goes to the gym

Westin Gourmet... more like Wastin Money. The meat I got from these jokers was as tough as old boots.

The rump steaks are 6oz, not 7oz. They come in packs of 2 that weigh 340g, which is exactly 12oz.

£29.95 for 1.7kg of rump steak works out at £17.62 per kg.

Just had one of the steaks. Really tasty! I'd definitely say it's value for money. The muscles haven't appeared yet though...

Used to order from Westin Gourmet (it's previous name) and it was good for a while. Then the quality seemed to reduce. On the final occasion I ordered some bacon and it was like eating shoe leather. Never tasted any bacon as bad. No more orders after that. Not sure if the muscle foods brand is a case of 'Wipe the name, wipe the shame' but back to Costco for me. Heat if the meat is quality rather than bargain basement.

Mine arrived earlier, and it does not look like £26 worth of meat. And that includes the freebies. The steaks look okay, but the chicken less so.

Amazing deal! Just ordered. I needed some meat for a camping trip bbq and was about to order online from sainsbury's sorry looking offerings. Thought I'd have a quick check here and was not disappointed. I was dubious about ordering meat online but took a gamble on musclefood's turkey hamper at christmas and was impressed.

Any feedback on packing?
Not sure if is safe to leave package with meat outside the house until 6pm.
Any thoughts on that?

I suppose the 'grass fed' bit is selling it. BUT how do you know? How old was the animal. How long has it been hung? If you really want the best you need to have a butcher you 'really know'. Most can't or don't have the time to do that. We had some really lovely British beef hand-cut 'sirloin' steaks from Waitrose (I had a 10 quid voucher!!) the other week. 2 steaks were just over £7. They worked out at 30 quid a kilo. Note this here is in ounces. So what is it, 35 oz roughly to a kilo. You work it out.
Personally, I like to 'see' what I am getting and would never order meat online 'unless' I personally knew the supplier.

It's not just the fact that it's matured beef, this meat comes from animals that haven't been fed with commercial feed. It has far less unsavoury "added extras" that you get with mass produced beef products. You can tell the difference in the taste also.
