For anybody having a nosey in the post with either a PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 or a PC. I'd expect them to go live around 5pm tonight.
And of course, apologies to Xbox 360 owners. It is also free on that platform.

I'm really enjoying these add on packs. I didn't really enjoy the game when it first came out but have always loved the battlefield games. Since playing these new maps I've really got into it again.

Wonder why they gave us the last 3 dlc for free, but not the first Battlefield™ Hardline Criminal Activity dlc free, strange.
Just got it free for PS4, took 3 attempts to buy it but it went through OK. Used my phone browser to get there.

I feel betrayed, I paid for premium after release and now your giving away DLC for free.

hardline is a dlc anyway just a reskin of bf4 after the bug fest at bf4 launch I said to myself no more premium much less buying a reskin game.

I think EA gave away a BF4 DLC in the past, too, must be extremely irritating. Masters of the re-skin yearly £50 update, are EA.

It's well past it's expected time. The store has updated with this week's Weekly Deal (The Crew, meh). I'm surprised it's not on there now.

Yeah it is free on US PSN (according to the store update) so I guess we have to wait for SCEE to get the memo.

A question for anybody who can help me, i have EA access and there is an offer for the deluxe Battlefield one game from £69.99 to £62.99 (because of EA access). however when i run out of EA access will i also lose the game with it? or is it just a discount because i have EA access?
Cheers in advance

Got Hardline for free and a few of the additional add-ons through BF Insider etc. Game was good for free, sidetracked onto other games since though.

So what's this game like? It tends to get slagged. It looks like a cops n Robbers game to me?? I've played Payday 2 and GTA 5 Heists. How does it compare to those 2?

I really enjoyed it, im in the minority but i preferred it to bf4. The shooting feels more fluid to me in this and your less likely to be killed buy a passing tank and such as there are no really power vehicles in this just transport vehicles.
Most of the major issues such as a lack of weapons etc have been addressed now too.

I'm a big cod player and found it hard at first as the dynamics are very different. Get a few hours into battlefield 4 and you will adapt.

My strategy for any large scale game like BF4 or Planetside 2 is follow a bunch of guys who look like they know what they are doing. Let them do all the killing while you supply ammo or heal. They'll be happy to let you stick around (as long as you keep them alive or supplied with ammo) and you can pick off the odd straggler. It's a good way to learn the game.

@bluntmachetti it was on sale for £3.50 a couple of weeks ago. You could grab the DLC now and wait for the game to go on sale again.

I feel sorry for anyone who bought the season pass. the 2nd 3rd and 4th DLC pack have been made free for a limited time over the last month or so.
thesinstar
5 Jul 16#10
Yes but only for a limited time after September the season pass will no longer work. But downloading all the free packs pretty much gets you close to having the season pass anyway.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but it says it's a standalone purchase. Does that mean I need to have the base game or will it work on its own?

You would need the base game.
What is being described as a standalone purchase is this Betrayal expansion pack. Premium is the service that grants access to all currently released expansion packs and as well as any future ones if released. But you have the option of purchasing a single expansion standalone from the Premium service. If you purchase either the Premium service or a single expansion pack, you would still need to purchase the base game to play either.
