Its only a no brainer if you want or like the red console + play gears of war. The console is a hidious colour. Myself & my partner dont play gears of war.

Includes gears edition controller and console and copy of the new gears game, season pass etc worth £80!

But you've got £80 worth of game which you can put on eBay to reduce the price with. I'm sure you would clear £50-60 after fees meaning you've got the console and controller for £280-£290!
Also, you're getting limited edition stuff rather than bog standard which would have a better resale value if you decided to sell it on.

Exactly. The only Limited Edition stuff nowadays is from Nintendo and even then, they don't really use "Limited Edition" for what they put out, some yes, not all. Games might be print in limited quantities by Nintendo so the best time to get X title would be by pre-order or when it's still in stock for the RRP price.

I bought Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE for £29.99 (with the £10 Amazon credit) although I think I could have gotten it for £5 less if I had used Prime Now but whatever, £29.99 is a good price. The only reason I even bothered ordering TMSxFE is because I can play the game uncensored by patching it (it's a detailed tutorial elsewhere).

Doesn't justify paying a £1.27 premium for £80 less content though!

The problem with a white console is it will probably go a dingy yellow colour over time.

Amazon France deal just went up by 50EUR for anyone that read this thread and was tempted, may be worth keeping an eye on it to see whether it drops back down again.

Microsoft will cover your warranty wherever you are regardless, you just speak to Microsoft GB and they will sort you out. It's based on just the serial number I believe and you can see how long your warranty is online.

I'd ask Amazon UK in live chat and have the conversation emailed to yourself.
That way you'd have 100% confidence in your recourse if there were to be any issues later down the line.

Don't you get charged customs with stuff like that too? Always worries me. Is it safe to buy from abroad because I see deals on here and i'm always put off because not really sure about buying abroad really

I never ever expected it to cost that much. Perhaps some worthwhile games rather than this nonsense. Should be able to upgrade storage ourselves, like the PS4.

I contacted Amazon and they said they would not price match it. I'm still sticking with Amazon as I trust them and as a student got a discount making it cheaper than this price anyway (but not as good as if Amazon price matched and then kept my discount).

the S stands for Spensive, as tbats what it is. you can get the original for below £200 now with a game. i k ow ita a deal but Microsoft are doing themselves an injury.

Zavvi are currently the only UK retailer offering the S below £350, but I'm still expecting something slightly better before release...

Basically a style upgrade. I held off buying the original for a year as it's huge and ugly, I'm taking the opportunity to make it Xbox (look) great again.

Why would you let the xbox process your sound? You'd pass it through to your Dolby Atmos or DTS-X enabled AV-Receiver to play the sound.

Indeed, you would... however the XBONE cannot pass HD audio to your AV receiver, the hardware isn't there to allow it, which was my point.
