Nope, afraid not. I gave up and bought a Halo controller to replace it.
Which my son dropped and broke a shoulder button on :disappointed:
However the main point is the contrller never suffered drop out like my other controller.
Hopefully the newer hardware has fixed it.

Might be worth waiting for the new slightly improved Xbox One controller due for launch August 31st with the Xbox One S. It has the added advantage of Bluetooth. Minus points are it's way more expensive than this deal (£49.99 via Amazon) and also you have to wait.

I have an Xbox 360 Windows Wireless adaptor - will these work with that on a PC?

Happens to me quite a lot. Some days it doesn't happen at all, other days it's like 5 times an hour. It is very annoying especially when playing online with mic. Although my controller has the mic attachment, not built in.
The only time I've seen it not disconnect is when it's plugged in charging.

I know this controller can be used on PC but does it have to be used wirelessly? In other words, can it be used with a USB cable connected to a PC because I'm not interested in messing about with changing batteries? Also, does the cable come supplied or do Microsoft only sell it as an optional extra?

So tempted at this price, but the upcoming new controllers with Bluetooth support has me stalling.
You can use if as a wired controller with a MicroUSB cable. It doesn't come with a cable, but any decent quality MicroUSB cable will work just fine, and you can pick those up quite cheaply, or you might already have a few laying around.

Thank you. I have a spare one of those cables already so that's good.
Does the new bluetooth one just have that as a new feature or will it have improvements? I don't much like the top shoulder buttons on the XB1 controller so if they're being improved I might buy the new controller instead.

Good stuff.. Can finally destroy the Mrs at Tekkan
I think the shoulder buttons were improved in last years revision, (the one poster here.) the main changes with the new controllers is the Bluetooth and rubber grips at the bottom of the controller for well better grip, and impoved thumbsticks.
