Fair points. However, users can set the defaults to what they want, I look at hot deals, then new. If you just look at hot deals, they could have expired by the time you see them. That's why I look for the gems that pop up in 'new' to get in early. But people use this site how they want.

There are two problems with that. The first is that I would expect the vast majority of visitors to this website (including me) don't have time to read every deal and all of the comments. The whole point is that the heat is there as a quick assessment. The second problem is that by default this site only displays 'hot deals', and many people will have their default search terms to only display hot deals. And therefore perversely many may be aware of the previous deal but never even see this better one.
Now don't get me wrong, this is hardly a world breaking event. No one is suggesting tearing the site down and starting again over it. It's just a stark individual example of inconsistent and frankly erroneous voting.

I don't think I've ever raised issue with inconsistent voting on this site before (even though it happens), but a deal for this exact item posted six hours earlier has gone over 250 degrees, and doesn't include the NOW TV pass, the reward points, or the TCB. This is a better deal yet is actually cold. Baffling.
In any event, voted hot. If I was in the market for an Xbox One, it would be a tough choice to decide between plumping for this or waiting for the new version.
