Can you double up tho? AFFGNXTFJB gives £18 off for first time customers too
True, but prices always drop, this is a good current price.
Im looking for a standalone console and hopefully they'll hit the 150 mark soon and keep going

is that even a question, no mate you cant otherwise you would be able to get your shopping for nothing just stacking codes. Hes already used one first spend code.

Oh heck Something else I ought to buy.
DatAlbino
17 Jul 161#10
Well no, cos there have been multistack deals such as the Doom+grocery deal @ Sainsburys before, so it was worth asking
Plus there are only a couple codes kicking about, not enough to do what you just said regardless

I think fifa will be a digital download and it might be expired as most of the codes which expired end June. Just a thing to be cautious about but there may be a batch with longer expiry date codes, if someone knows about it please correct me as I don't want to confuse anybody.

Doesn't matter mate. No-one bothers with FIFA 16 anymore I guess. And still hot price, even if the code expired.

Very good price for the console and a game.

I'm being honest how is that being a Fanboy? I don't need to put the xbox one console down Microsoft did a good enough job doing that on release!

Like the original launch 360 was no good in comparison to when the Slim was released?!?
If that's the case, why is my Arcade 360 still in full working order over 10 years later and doing everything my son's Slim does???
This Xbox One is capable of doing everything the new one will do, with the exception of 4K, and unless you're going out to spend £400+ on a 4K TV, why would you buy the new one???
Namiweso
18 Jul 161#28
To back up your point anymore, it does 4K Video playback on movies, not games. The 'S' is a waste of money for anyone who just games and this is an amazing price for an Xbox One.
I'm jealous as I forked out nearly £300 for a Ps4 and a few games not long ago (it was the 1TB but still a massive gap in pricey)
dave859
18 Jul 16#29
Also something to note is this model is almost silent, I find it hard to believe Microsoft can make the S model as small as it is without it sounding as loud as the ps4.

18 Jul 16#30
because this is not a debate about which is better ps4 v X1
this is about getting the best price for the X1 + Fifa 16-> which this deal clearly is!
heat from me eventhough I prefer ps4 and wish I could buy it for this price incl Fifa 16!!!

Normally I would say to not worry about tech that is coming out later and just buy what you need now, but the One S is going to be out within the next two or three weeks.
The One S is going to be £250 for the 500GB model. This will push back the prices of the original Xbox way down as a result of it and give us all an option of opting for the newer model for a little more.
Heat added regardless as this is the best deal around at the moment.

I don't think this bundle (or similar) will drop much below this price.
Next best deal was the Currys one a few weeks back at £184.99 with choice of game (could argue that was better deal than this one).
Certainly won't be seeing any deals on this for £149, outside of Black Friday deals in a few months time.

You may be right. We may, hopefully, get a better selection of deals as we will see other shops dropping the price. For example, this price but with another game or perhaps with a second controller.
The bizarre thing is that we are now seeing the Xbox being sold cheaper than the Wii U.
Two years ago I managed to get the Wii U from Amazon Italy for £144 delivered with two games and two controllers. One of the reason's I opted for the Wii U is because the Xbox One and PS4 were around the £400 mark and nearly all the games coming out were available for the PS3 so I didn't see any incentive to upgrade.
Strange that Nintendo hasn't been a little more aggressive in their pricing policy this year as they will surely be making the console for less now.

At 32 months since launch, that makes it £7.68 a month if you'd been using it constantly. If you're buying one today it means you can get another six games for the same price.

Right all I said in my first commet was i couldent buy another console just for 8 games as i own a ps4. Was not being a fanboy was just saying its not worth wasting 179 just to play 8 games!

I paid about £178 for this about a year ago, only difference mine came with Forza Horizon 2. I only got this price because of an ebay voucher though, it was brand new/sealed.
I think this is a good price for it, good deal.

Think it depends on the games you wanted to play I did enjoy gears of war and fable on xbox 360 also liked blue dragon and crackdown however the main factor for me what when Microsoft lossed mass effect I loved uncharted from the start and could not buy both consoles this gen.If Microsoft dident have done what they did on release I could of well of ending buying an xbox one. However the fact reminds they got greedy this gen and tried to screw over the gamer that was enough for me to buy a the ps4 I'm not a Fanboy I liked both consoles but when you try your hardest to do over the people that play and buy the games can any really blame Sony for doing as well as they have?
MA3STRO
18 Jul 161#42
If it dropped in price I'd buy another for my girlfriend as her son would love the Mario games on it. I've bought a lot of classic Wii games for the Wii U too such as the Zelda and Metroid games. There's a lot of classic games that can be played on it because it takes Wii and Wii U discs.
