A devastating pandemic sweeps through New York City, and one by one, basic services fail. In only days, without food or water, society collapses into chaos. The Division, a classified unit of self-supported tactical agents, is activated. Leading seemingly ordinary lives among us, Division agents are trained to operate independently in order to save society. When society falls, your mission begins.

I wouldn't say it's out of date tech.
The One S will play all the same games this machine does. That doesn't make this system obsolete.

Picked up the Boss Deals deal on this a while back, with a couple of Halos & other massive installs 1TB is a must I'd of thought.

That is such a good price, almost tempted to cancel my xbox one S GOW pre-order.

If you want to use the new VR headset that's coming out you will need to buy the new S model. This version of the Xbox does not support VR.
The current PlayStation supports the new PlayStation VR headset.

Pretty sure you will need 2017s Scorpio for that. There's not even been any announcements of vr on Xbox yet as far as I'm aware

This has not been confirmed. To the best of my knowledge MS have made no statement about the release of VR on Xbox

I think you need to go back onto google as I think you have gotten the wrong end of the stick. The Xbox One S that comes out next month is just a slim Xbox One that can play 4K blu-ray discs (not games). This Xbox Scorpio out Christmas 2017 will most likely support VR Headsets.

I thought the S has improved visuals, if thats the case the experience will be better?
If your in no rush though you might aswell wait for the scorpion, however I'm getting the gears xbox one S as its a solid deal.

It supports HDR (you need a compatible TV - likely made within the last 18 months or so - and only some games will support it). It's just a new way to display the game with more colour depth and sharper contrast. The textures, lighting effects, physics. All that stuff will be the same.

Actually the new model is going to support higher def video formats and upscale some visuals. Not a big deal to everyone of course and this is a good price but personally I would go for the S.

True not 100% confirmed but based on the current spec of the standard xbox one, it would struggle to support a decent VR experience (due to hardware).

True, but currently there is little evidence how much extra functionality/performance you are getting with the S for your extra £100 outside of HD Blu Ray. There is also no price for the Scorpio so you don't know how the model S will compare in features vs price. Best advice is get what's suits your needs and pockets right now.

It's the cheapest 4k bluray player on the market , that also plays xbox one games.
Makes no sense if you don't already own an xbox one not to get the S

If zavvi cancel any of these like the last 1tb offer they did, please let me know.

That's typical zavvi tactics - offer a good price to attract lots of interest, then cancel orders and fail to complete them.
Happened too many times for me to trust them, especially with any kind of pre-order

I have gone for the xboxone s. Only as a 4k player and not to have that brick. I have not touched an xbox sine the 360. But I have recently bagged the halo collection from cd keys thanks to this site. And the steelbook of Halo 5. Signed up for a new gamertag mid month and got gold for a free month. Taken advantage of games with Gold. The crew and rainbow six 2.
If anyone is considering this deal it is great. But for a little more it would be best to buy the s. As mentioned it will cover 4K blurays. And has HDR.
Alternatively get a ps4 for just over 200 quid. Or wait for the Neo if you want VR.

Am I the only one that thinks VR is another kinect/playstation move this generation?
I wouldn't be banking any console purchase on it until next generation when things are settled and we see how it's going to be supported.
If you don't "need" a 4k blu ray player then this seems like a good deal to me.

Will it look better than the ps4? the ps4 graphics are better than the xbox one and it annoys me.

Just wondering if anyone knows how to download the game?!
I'm new to Xbox and not sure how it works, maybe there's a redemption code on the box or something?
