After the first game, I'd be waiting for reviews before I'd even consider buying the game.

Exactly, console games may be fleetingly £50 when they first come out but PC games are never that price.
Still I'm really looking forward to the game. I too adored the first one, think I might have even had more fun with it than GTA V! or at least as much. Really about the pinnacle of open world gaming for me.
Just glad they decided to do a sequel as the original got (wrongly IMHO) panned so badly there was really doubt it would even happen for a good while....

not really. if you're going by Steam prices for new releases this is about 40% off.

Tbh this is the 1st game since Fallout 4 was accounced that im genuinly looking forward to - that hasnt happened much on the current gen consoles ( i am pc now though )
Just Wondering

Console games often have a RRP of 49.99, but most are 34.99 online at release or cheaper

Actually I just checked £39.99 on Steam so not quite 40%, still a good saving though.

Watch Dogs 1 wasn't really that great but Spider Tank was awesome. Here's hoping WD2 has a new mini-game based on Spider Tank.

With the prevalence of 'sales' the sale price is the real price. This would have had an RRP of £29.99 previously.

First one was basically unplayable and annoyed me as I liked the premise.
Went back to it after a GPU upgrade, problems were gone and I loved it. Highly recommended and can't wait for this sequel.

I pre-ordered the first Watchdogs and it was so bad it put me off pre-ordering games for a long time.

Fool me once, shame on u(bisoft)...
I ain't pre-ordering this. I've never felt so shafted buying a game on release as I did for the first Watch Dogs game. Totally underwhelming and didn't deliver anything near to what it promised.

I think everyones big issue with the first was how downgraded it was from the original announcement. They made it look graphically immense, and gave the impression you could do a lot more with the hacking abilities than you actually could in the end game. Tbh, if you ignore that, it still wasnt a half bad game and i really enjoyed it, but hopefully they wont try and pull the wool over peoples eyes with this one and actually deliver what they promise
But then again, Ubisoft.

You'd have to be a braver man than I to pre-order a sequel to the infamous Watch Dogs...
Ubisoft are a company which doesn't deserve anyone's pre-order money, in my opinion.

Ubisoft are indeed a very mixed bag. Rainbow Six Siege is quite awesome though.

Ubisoft has the best marketing team ever... They can make a **** game look good, hype it up, boost sales and then the game sucks major balls.
Ubisoft games are games that should ALWAYS be free (bundled with graphics cards for example)
Cold. Reason: you have to give Ubisoft money.

I thought i was clever buying the game at £2(the first one) knowing the Issues it had thinking it was still a good price, but it was a waste. An unplayable game is exactly that.

Have ubisoft milked franchises ? - Yes
Have ubisoft made some fantastic games inbetween all the re hashed filler - Yes
Watchdogs to me is what Assassins creed was at the beginning of last gen = AC1 was a good reptitive game that need working on - AC2 was fantastic! first platinum i got! and then they milked it
Far cry 2 was meh and repetitive for me, but Far cry 3 was an absoulte blast! and then they milked the franchises and re hashed it
See the pattern here?

I see all these comments and think, the first game was rather decent all the negativity is hardly warranted. But then I remember that was Sleeping Dogs.
I contemplated picking up the first WD game for a fiver, some say it's good others outright hate it. Question is for the casual gamer a la myself, is it worth trying?

ubisoft graphically downgraded game for 27.99. no thank you. good PC pre order price should be closer to the 20 pound mark. this was deus ex mankind divided pre order price. cold.

Let's hope the PC version is good. All signs are that the game itself is a vast improvement.
For anyone interested I managed to pre-order the PC deluxe version today from Uplay Russia for £20.55 using a VPN, a 100 Ubi points to get a 20% discount and I even managed to pay using PayPal.

wow thats a good price. I thought that major publishers closed VPN loophole. will it be with english sound etc. i have heard that people who bought star wars battlefront from russia last year ended with russian version of the game. i wonder if it is the same for Uplay and eatch dogs 2 hope not.
