Tempted but the reports in the news about Vodafone and the way they have treated customers has been shocking to say the least has put me off.

Also- if you call Vodafone sales and state there is a cheaper deal on a Redemption website (I said Mobiles.co.uk- £12.50), they can potentially give two months free (depending on the advisor). Worth a try.

Im on this deal. Voda are quite good but speed is nothing like EE

in London today I was on 4G+ and getting download speeds in excess of 90mbs which isn't too bad. Clearly in other areas it's much worse though.

There is no quidco eligible for this deal. TCB have a £50 all 12 month contracts cashback that would seem eligible.

Good deal, but its a shame they've put the price up 11% since they last did this sort of deal about 6mths ago.
You can cancel contract if prices go up. Anyone know if you could get VEA discount on top of this

IF Redemption is your cup of tea- then sure why not- but you have to send bills at certain interval (Month 4, 6 9 and 12 I think) which means a lot of hassle.

Quidco states:
for 12 month SIMO contracts of £23 a month
This is £22.20 a month so I don't see how that's eligible?

Does sky sport allow me watch couple of theirs channels on the phone?
Well, no Quidco/TCB is guaranteed - so the basics of both deals is exactly the same @ £22.20 per month. The carrot of redemption cashback of £140 certainly makes the deal I mentioned a lot better than this deal. I'm not sure what mobiles.co.uk are like for redemption cashback, but given a lot of companies allow you to do it online now, it might not really be that much effort.

Out of interest what area of London were you? As I've been in Westminster and the City getting 9mb down tops often struggling to stay on 4G switching to 3G.
One of the reasons I'm torn about switching to EE as in London the speeds are mega (100+ down 70+ up in Westminster) but move out of London and the service is a lot more patchy.

Just to say that you can add family members to this deal to share the 20 GB of data.
I've added both my daughter and wife to the account. I've given my daughter 4GB of the data which leaves my wife and I to share the remaining 16GB. You can add a user with unlimited minutes and texts plus whatever data you allocate for £13 per month. That's a pretty good deal.
I bought it when it was £20 pcm with Netflix credit and managed to get three months credit too. Very pleased.

Redemption can be done online through mobiles.co.uk website. 5 mins of your time not really much for £140

Vodafone 4G is appalling. Speeds in excess of 90mbps I find very hard to believe as Vodafone are notoriously slow in CL due to the amount of VEA customers. Would love to know what area and what kind of time e.g Sunday 11pm etc

nothing but praise for Vodafone, better signal than ee and 3 in my area, constant 4g around my house and town and I've rang them multiple times about add ons and new phones and they've been brilliant.

I have this bundle for £20 p/m but got no cashback because at the time the cashback was for new contracts not upgrades so check before you purchase if you're relying on the cashback.

One of the worst companies i have ever dealt with
Allowed my son to run up a £280.00 bill for a month even though i had asked them to cap it
Their answer 'we dont cap'
Terribly arrogant company and trust me i am no namby pamby who moans at the slightest thing

It's not their fault, it's the bill payers responsibility to make sure whoever uses the account doesn't go over.l the usage. There's an app for that

What do you mean they wouldn't do it? It's on the pricing and promo tool and it's available instore and online so I cannot see why anyone would not do it.
Manchester city centre I get 76mbs consistently (I do work for Vodafone by the way and I'm not claiming they're the best company in the world but to say their network is slow is ****)

You can't get VEA on this as it's already a discounted price plan, also VEA has now changed, from August the 1st it's 15% on Phone contracts and 30% on Sim onlys, there is however a £10.00 charge to 'join' VEA per line.

Not done it yet. Only got the deal last week. But Mobiles.co.uk have a good reputation of paying and on my Mobiles.co.uk account all you need to do is upload the pdf of whatever bill they ask for

But EE notify me on my phone when data is low, 02 alert my wife when data is low, 3 notify my other son when his data is low

Please don't do it. I already had a spotify account - it took them 6 attempts to get spotify working, each time i was charged. That along with an incorrect contact price, twice, and that was after the first contract renewal they didn't even know about when i called 2 days later when my phone hadn't been delivered.. Never had any issues with vodafone over the previous 4 years or so but never again..10 / 15 calls later to vodafone, eventually a manager got involved who still couldn't sort the issue out. I never got the free spotify, but got some compensation, but i would rather had paid what i should have paid for my contract than go through all that again.

Unsure if I've missed it but will this allow tethering?
musical to mudddy
2 Aug 161#39
Yes it does. Also, you can add a data SIM to share the allowance for £8 per month. Or you can add another SIM with unlimited calls and texts sharing the data for £13. But yes, tethering is allowed and works fine.

I was a bit sceptical at first but I'm at my third cheque now and everything is fine. The redemption process is quite simple, I just download the bill from myvodafone acct. and upload it on mobiles.co.uk (or e2save for my wife's phone). The only thing you should pay attention to is which bills you have to upload (which months) but even so you have 60 days to do it which is quite generous.

Also, I think this deal below works out better because of the possibility of £140 cashback by redemption and £5 Quidco (whereas the Quidco on the OP's deal is £65):
