Probably worth nothing this is a Microsim. Anyone know if you'd be able to sign up to this sim and then get it changed in store for a nanosim? I had to do a similar thing with Three when I changed phones and had no problems.

There is an option for nano or micro sim when ordering. two different listings. Well there was I cant find it now, but am sure it wouldnt be an issue to get the right size.

I've changed twice in the last year and too lazy to wait for the right sim card size when I change phone, so I just cut the sim myself with a pair of scissors.
Cut around the chip part if you can't get a nano easily.

Will this tariff include free Spotify /Netflix etc?
Avoid Vodafone at all costs unless you enjoy being billed incorrectly, have accounts created in your name without your knowledge, lose service, get lied to every single time you call etc.
They are genuinely the worst phone provider in the UK hence why they have like three times as many complaints as any other company.

Agree. Been so happy since I moved to EE would happily pay twice as much (won't be telling them that when it comes to contract renewal though...)

It might be cheap but it just isn't worth the hassle .
Rubbish coverage and the customer service is terrible.
We were promised a great deal and that the guy we were speaking to would be a dedicated account manager . Then found out it was a total lie and he didn't have the authority to do so.
Still trying to sort out an overcharge of £130 that they may has been paid back but hasn't.
Oh and if ever they promise a call back, might as well turn your phone off cos it ain't going to happen.

I would totally avoid E2Save.
I have a redemption contract with them now which is thankfully ending in October.
When claiming my cashback ( I have done 5 so far ) they were a major pain in the backside.
Their log in procedure was from like 10 years behind and 2 months ago they updated it and the log in was down for nearly one month.
When I phoned them with the problem it took me 35 minutes and then 45 minutes the next time, told me it will be sorted in about 5 days and it took 2 further weeks.
They rejected every claim the first time and 2 of them 3 times, cant see your post code in the bill.
I could go on but you get my gist.

I would confirm with mobile.co.uk of this does include spotify/sky now. As if you look at the Vodafone Web site there are two different 8gb plans. This one at £22 which is a 4gb plan with double data but no Spotify etc. and on at £27 which is a standard 8gb plan which includes Spotify etc.

Excellent deal. I pay £15 for 5Gb and 500 min. The data speeds are very good and has very good coverage in comparison to other networks and I been with most of them.

Here's the problem with what you said - you're not wrong, but you're talking about the wrong thing. Coverage and actual speed/capacity are not always related.
The places I spend time show the most coverage on O2, then EE, then Three and then Voda - using any of those apps people use to check this stuff or the official coverage checkers or just talking to people, that's what you'll conclude.
Problem is, that data relies on people USING the service - so if more people use O2, it will show as better coverage (more data).
Around here, O2s network is absolutely overloaded and slow-as-hell (there are several O2 stores which probably explains this). EE is a bit better, Three is similar (each have one store) but they're all busy.
Voda (no stores) - no-one uses it and it's really quick. There are 'holes' in coverage for sure, but those exist for EE, Three and O2 also (indeed O2 has one right outside my house!!)
The best I could get from a O2 4G SIM with 'full bars' was about 4Gb down and 2Gb up - tried several places/times, never bettered.
Same areas on Voda didn't always show full bars, but comfortably topped 10Gb down and 8Gb up - peaks were higher again - BIG numbers.
At busy times, the O2 network is slow-to-dead-stop and sometimes even fails connection - Three and EE are better but still relatively slow (you'd not replaced your wired broadband)
The Voda SIM has no such issues - indeed, I still get more data speed at peak times than O2 can EVER give me and more than my ADSL line gives (esp upload)
That's just the 20mile area I cover of course - YMMV - but do NOT mistake coverage for speed - in-fact, sometimes the least 'coverage' means the most speed (which stores don't you have - that network is likely the least congested)

How does redemption work?
therealjohnpeat
9 Jul 16#35
It's more likely they'll just get nasty demands - but it's entirely possible a phone could use data (tho maybe not quite that much) whilst you're asleep
They're called 'SMART' for a reason - they do still all by themselves and there's plenty of apps capable of draining data at a scary rate...
therealjohnpeat
9 Jul 16#36
Can't speak for these deals, but mobiles.co.uk do it either by mail (print bill and post) or through your account portal doodah thing directly (never tried it but apparently simple) - you have 60 days to do it, takes upto 40 to get paid.
Sorry but I know plenty of people who are with Vodafone and they don't get any 3g or 4g at all in some places, I myself use B.T sim which piggybacks off EE as you know, I always get 4g where ever I go.

Vodafone have been around for awhile now but they have become a third rate network supplier I afraid, I think they are just money grabbers and they don't give a damn about their customers coverage, Vodafone are old hat.
therealjohnpeat
9 Jul 16#39
and there are places within 200m of me where O2 has no coverage, but it's coverage checker and the apps which check this all say I have 'excellent coverage'.
People have to use a network which covers the areas they visit BUT coverage <> speed/capacity and can in some cases be the opposite.
Also - people being less NIMBY about phone masts would solve this but people will be people will be ****

9 Jul 16#40
Im my area i have used all ee , o2 , vodafone and three , regarding coverage vodafone worked most followed by three then o2/ee all had places where no signal at all outside but vodafone had the least no signal 2 bars of 4g get 16gb download speed and like i say ive had problems with others ee so to me they are all the same . Just get payg sims and check before commiting to 12mts .

I've been with Vodafone a few months now on a £5 month redemption cashback deal from mobiles.co.uk. The coverage for me is excellent, I get something silly like 50mb download in Lincoln, fast upload too, much faster than my home broadband. I've never had problems with their CS team, the online account took a while to setup but apart from that no issues whatsoever.

Quidco and tcb are the easy bit, you buy your product by linking through there website and a few months later you (should) get you £5. The cash back is from the retailer e2save, you send in your bill on certain months to an email or postal address, they then send you a cheque or credit your bank account with the money. Its along time since I've done a deal like this myself, but never had issues in the past. And am currently on a contract with a different retailer with cash back. You need to check there t&cs about which bills yo send in.
