Adapter for your ultra-portable that came without a traditional Ethernet port to be able to connect to a wired network connection.
I paid £20 for one with additional USB replacement port, but would have bought this if I had seen it first.
no it's not the same mate, that allows you to connect to wifi when you don't have wifi on the device, this is a pure ethernet gadget for when wifi just don't cut the mustard.

question to the OP, why was the version with USB ports no good? Just the price?
Good for hooking up a Wii U to your router and getting a much better and stable online connection...

apologies if the asus unit does indeed act as a usb ethernet bridge but my experience of a lesser known brand unit my friend bought was that it would not and when the usb/ethernet adapter statement on that was queried, the manuf. stated it could bridge those interfaces to wifi.

Drivers just installed on windows 10 m8, I didn't need the disc (that was in the bottom of the box under a cardboard sheet)
If you don't have it I can upload them so you can use a USB drive.
Don't know about Pi Zero, working in Fedora 22 automatically picked up. At a guess I would say yes, it will/should work.
The OP is underselling this, less than a fiver for a USB3.0 gig interface is stonking value. Tempted now
