Hi, to the mod that edited the title, I'm not sure about the "£17.98 prime / £12.97 non prime @ Amazon" part?
I don't think it's £12.97 for non-prime?

Yes. Connect up your router to plug 1 via ethernet cable (cat 5e cable or better is preferred).
Plug 2 will go somewhere else in the house and an ethernet cable runs from plug 2 to your device (or switch - example)

Hi, the title has been edited again by a mod, but this time it's been changed to: "£17.98 non prime item @ Amazon".
I have Prime and I can get this for £17.98 delivered - so it reads a bit confusing to me

Have been using this with my BT box for about 6 months now. Overall pretty good, only issue i have had is they occasionally lock out ( on average about once every 6 weeks) easily fixed by turning off and on again. Can be annoying if using as I do for BT sport recordings, if it locks out then the recording gets missed.

Just sent a pair of these back. They disconnect every 20 minutes and cut the internet off. The software to disable this 'supposed power saving feature' doesn't work with Windows 10 unless you modify a DLL file. Even after doing this, mine still kept disconnecting every 20 minutes or so.

Great deal, simple to use and reliable. We have 7 dotted around the house and only have to turn on and off every couple of months.

so if you need to connect this upstairs and your router is downstairs how would it work?

It comes with two units, so one by the router and the other upstairs.

I installed these last year. My network connects at 100MBPS and throughput is never more than 20MBPS. Box did say 500MBPS but I never got that throughput even if I connect adapters on same extension lead. Network wire directly on router gives me 1 GBPS so I know router and computer are capable but these nano adapters are bottleneck.

think you are getting you're MBs (megabytes) and Mbs (megabits) mixed up. a byte is 8 bits. most retailers bb suppliers use the megabits speed as it looks faster. divide that number by 8 and you will have the speed in Megabytes.

Great price for these, but remember while they can carry your internet traffic just fine, data transfer speeds will be dependent on the distance between the two units (house wiring distance not physical distance) and the condition of your wiring. I have 2 x TP-Link Gigabit Powerline adaptors and have speeds of 20Mbps from one end of my house to the other (3 bed semi). For comparison, my Cat5e cable wired network runs at 185Mbps across the same distance. If you will only use them for small or occasional file transfers or internet browsing they will be fine, but don't expect to get near the advertised data transfer rates. Heat added.

As all powerline adaptors are recommended not to be used with extension leads to get the full speed why don't any if them ditch the 3 inch block design that plugs into the socket and forced your furniture to now stabs noticeably proud if the wall for a design that incorporates the tech into a snack block on the end of short lead that had a normal size plug for the socket? This seems an obvious design improvement but no manufacturer seems to offer this.
