I've found these to be a mixed bag. We have had two of these, an AA branded version and one Ring branded. The older Ring example has worked fine for three years with average use, the newer AA unit failed on its second outing - ejecting all its oil and then seizing, nearly melting the cable. Not voting cold though as they are good when they work.

Expired and code SUMMERSALE doesn't work on tyre inflators :disappointed:

I recently bought the Ring version off Amazon, tried it once and returned it, because the tyre connector is a screw type it let's out air when you put it on and again when you take it off, so you never get an accurate reading, very poor design, ended up buying one from Argos with a clamp connector and it's much better.

I had the RAC 635 and the digital lcd display stopped working within a few months. I can still pump up a tyre but wont know what the tyre pressure is. Not sure if its worth be buying another one. Any advice?

I just bought this for quite a bit more and like it. I dont have any problems with air escaping - just tighten it up quick and take it off quick. Great having the auto-stop feature.

I can't get the code to go through......odd....

I bought one of the RING branded ones from the same site a few years ago and it's been great. The programming to a set PSI was nice, but a bit of a faff, so now I just start it and watch the read out before stopping at the desired pressure.

ordered one a few months ago in the last deal posted here. broke after 40 secs of use. got a refund. maybe it was just mine but several others also reported failures....

Rubbish. Bought 2 of these for our vehicles when these were last on here I think at £11.50? Both broke on first use after about 30 seconds. Sent back for a refund.

First tried using the code on my Android tablet with no luck then tried from my Samsung S5 and it worked :innocent:

Do you really believe that these are accurate to 0.5psi? The safest way is to overinflate slightly and adjust your pressures down checking with a reliable standalone pressure gauge.

Given the number that have broken in this thread alone, that shouldn't be a difficult decision...

Mine has died too, used it twice and inflated 3 tyres in total. I had the AA branded version of this model that had lasted me a couple of years until it was stolen but this one was hopeless.

Taking mine back to my local shop.It died on 1st use.
