I've found these to be a mixed bag. We have had two of these, an AA branded version and one Ring branded. The older Ring example has worked fine for three years with average use, the newer AA unit failed on its second outing - ejecting all its oil and then seizing, nearly melting the cable. Not voting cold though as they are good when they work.

No because it already has the larger optional wheels on it, runflats would only increase his dental/chiropractor bills further

I recently bought the Ring version off Amazon, tried it once and returned it, because the tyre connector is a screw type it let's out air when you put it on and again when you take it off, so you never get an accurate reading, very poor design, ended up buying one from Argos with a clamp connector and it's much better.
RiTSo to billybear
18 Jul 162#32
The air lost is probably minimal if screwed quickly and is there any real need to have tyres to such a precise measurement? I also assume the original measurement isn't correct in the first place. All I do to correct for this is notch the tyre pressure up 0.5PSI over what it should be. They're deflating as soon as you remove the pump any way.
eset12345 to billybear
18 Jul 161#34
most inflate to about 0.5psi above what you set to account for a small amount of air that gets let out when removing the fitting.
the quick fittings also let out air and they are prone to breaking, the brass screw connectors on the screw ones wont break or wear when used against standard valves

It definitely won't work for me! It says: One or more of the products you have choosen are not included in the promotion code you have used and will therefore not benefit from the promotion code. However you will still be able to progress with your order. For a list of products that are excluded in the promotion, Click Here
Then when I click here it says tyre inflators are excluded from the promotion, so I don't know how you're managing it!

I just bought this for quite a bit more and like it. I dont have any problems with air escaping - just tighten it up quick and take it off quick. Great having the auto-stop feature.

I bought one of the RING branded ones from the same site a few years ago and it's been great. The programming to a set PSI was nice, but a bit of a faff, so now I just start it and watch the read out before stopping at the desired pressure.

SUMMERSALE code works if you click through the link above. It all depends on which department you find the inflator in. It didn't work for me at first but try the link above first.

Do you really believe that these are accurate to 0.5psi? The safest way is to overinflate slightly and adjust your pressures down checking with a reliable standalone pressure gauge.
