The base game is worth £40 i paid at launch and the DLCs are a big chunk. So for £35, this is a bit of a steal but i'm not sure how other places will price this and they'll probably be doing offers too. Hot for now though.

I haven't got this game yet and will hold off to pick this version up at a later date. but heat - didn't the season pass cost about this??

Yep, agreed the amount of content in the base game alone is outstanding but with both expansions it just makes this a hell of a lot of game. I bought the base game full price plus the expansion pack and I don't regret it one bit. This is currently my favourite game of this console generation it is simply superb.

I tried witcher 2 last night and couldn't get into it, is this any better / easier to get into ?

I have the base game still sealed on my pile of shame, may trade it and pre-order this.

​i may be alone in this but I preferred the witcher 2. the pacing felt better and story felt more important due to less side quests/haircuts.

Bought this game alongside batman arkham knight when Tesco has that 2 for £70 offer on pre orders last year just to sell it for profit but ended up as my favourite game ever!!!

For someone who didn't get on with the combat mechanics of The Witcher 2 [on 360 - gameplay with the gamepad just felt clunky] was this improved/refined for TW3, or is it more of the same?

The 2 pieces of DLC could easily have been released as standalone games separately. Together they're about 45 hours worth of extra content. I have clocked 220 hours on base game and both pieces of premium DLC combined and there is still quite a bit I haven't done in it yet. Value for money is simply superb and CD Projekt Red should be commended for their commitment to the consumer and the game. Don't forget the 16 pieces of free DLC they released too.

Start a new +save game and play again, I have done this, have done 207 hours and on second play through have discovered many quests I never did in the first play through, totally amazing game

The DLC should be left until after you've completed the main quest ideally.

I had this game in Xbox One and didn't quite complete it. Loved it, but jumped ship to the PS4 before I got to the end. Recently picked a copy up on PS4, and I'm finding a fair number of quests that I missed first time. Quite fun playing it again; I'm a lot more focused this time, and I've ditched relying on Signs in favour of swordsmanship.

~£35 is a decent price, but the base game has been available for around £15 for some time, and the DLC is only £19.99. Not really a saving.

Fine if you can wait for its release till end of August. But if you want it now you can pick up the game and season pass separately for around the same price. Heat added.

Never liked RPG style games. Cannot stand them. Played Witcher 3 and it was probably the best game ive played on Next Gen.

Just want to echo DEELZ' replies. I also really struggled to get along with Witcher 2, primarily because of the combat mechanics, but Witcher 3 simplifies it just enough to get to grips with, without dumbing it down. Never before have I played a game where even the fetch quests have so much depth to them. If I didn't have an undying loyalty towards Zelda: Ocarina of Time, I might even say this is the best game I've ever played.

I'd pay this price for the DLC alone.

Put 80+ hours into the XB1 original version, and loved every minute. Tempted to get this for the PS4, and have yet to try the DLC...

That's the base game without the story DLC included.

Also remember with this game you can download 16 bits of Free DLC (costumes, game+ mode, quests etc) from the marketplace.

An example of what a good game developer company is and who are not trying to mug off their customers.

A typical modern day Game Dev company that CD Projekt RED are the total opposite of :

- Release game unfinished and riddled with bugs
- Release game with lack of content
- Release DLC, that you have to pay for, to fix bugs and add content
- Over the year release additional DLC, that again you have to pay for, incrementally to bring the game up to what it should have been at release.
- Blame the customers for complaining about the game saying that they do not understand the devs vision
