In the visual style of the critically-acclaimed The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds comes a new adventure to save a princess from an evil witch’s curse. 3 friends team up – each as Link in different colour – to cooperatively make their way through inventive dungeons and battle bosses. Use the loot you get to create wearable outfits, each with a different boost or ability.
As Link, buddy up with two other Link characters and cooperatively solve inventive puzzles to progress through the game.
All three players share hearts, so they must work together to defeat enemies and solve puzzles.
Stack three Links on top of each other with the new “Totem” mechanic, which makes it possible to reach new locations to solve puzzles.
Collect loot to create wearable outfits, each with a different boost or ability.
Single-player mode allows the player to rent two paper dolls to take along to complete the team of three and face challenges in dungeons.
Team up with two other players in multiplayer mode via local wireless connection, online and with download play.

Got it last week for an extra quid. It's much better than I thought. Even single player it's fun, although it's not the way the game was meant to be played. Lovely graphics and music, quirky characters and super fluid controls. Pick it up if you haven't.

Does anyone know if co-op is essential for this game? I am a solo player and not sure if I should get this. Great price regardless.

Tried the demo and I'd say it's pretty plain single player. The randoms I played with were fairly capable though, for what it's worth.

It's really boring single player, multiplayer is fun however you pick the levels like a lottery (you pick one each and it roulettes the level choice) so the chances of doing the game without repeating a load of levels is slim. Oh, and if anyone disconnects it's game over.
Good game, but serious flaws due to how levels are picked and such make this difficult to recommend, even at £14.

it's very awkward to play in single player. the game was clearly designed for multi player, I think single player was very much an after thought.
the game is fun in multiplayer, but due to the lack of being able to message or voice chat it can prove frustrating on difficult levels when others don't know what to do. also, people tend to quit levels if they don't get the ones they want, so you waste a lot of time dealing with idiots.
