I think historically that was a fair assessment, but recently we had the Big in Japan sale in the UK, and there's another sale on at the moment with - among tons of other things - Firewatch at circa £10.49, and Hotline Miami 2 and SOMA both just over £4. Check it out:

Avoid Evolve as its probably gonna go F2P on console too. Tower of guns is god damn awful and feels like one of those games you used to get on a ps1 demo disc and has ps1 graphics too. But some good deals nethertheless.

Was just wondering what people were doing since from memory back in the day, you couldn't just use any old card on PSN - I already bought some PSN top-ups and was just curious what everyone was using. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: a FAQ for people who've never done this before would be great.
In the meantime, some instructions I posted before:
I created a Canadian account a few nights ago for Firewatch, and took about 20 minutes from scratch. Here's how:
1. created a brand new Gmail address
2. created a brand new PSN account using my browser, with some random Burger King in Toronto as my address, and verified via the new Gmail account
3. signed up for a brand new account on PCGameSupply and verified via text
4. bought $20 CAD on PCGameSupply (via PayPal) and waited a couple of minutes for the code to pop up
5. set up the new PSN account on my PS4, and set my machine as primary (it actually prompts you to do this)
6. went onto the PlayStation Store, and redeemed my code against Firewatch
Once installed can you play the game on your UK account so gain trophies go online etc

You don't even need to create a new gmail account - just add a period into your current one. Other sites will recognise it as a different email address but gmail doesn't, so the emails will all go to the same gmail account.
i thought this was called HotUkDeals and not HotUsDeals.The more you buy of these, the more they will only do them in the USA.

I took some of your advice and purchased $50.00 credit through Electronic First. First, they e-mailed to ask my telephone number. Then, they e-mailed to request a photo of my ID/proof of address. Now they've sent a e-mail to confirm I understand I am purchasing a US region/account item. I replied half an hour ago and they seem to be in no hurry to respond with the actual code I have paid for.
In my opinion, look elsewhere.

I need some advice. So, I finally verified the purchase with Electronic First and they sent me my $50.00 code which I redeemed on the PS store. However, as soon as I did this, all the game's sale prices instantly reverted back to their original prices, e.g Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 is now $59.99 on my PS4 via the USA PS store.
WTF?
What has caused this, and can fix this? Otherwise I'm looking at potentially wasting £37! Cheers
