Had so much potential but a damaged game that was released with zero content. whatever way you look at it, it's a unfinished game released. Developers releasing such like should be shot. Had potential but way a year and hopefully capcom sort this out or release a finished game. Better off with street fighter 4 ultra or a classic alpha 3. As a loyal Street fighter fan for many many years, you can tell I still chessed off with it all.

Bought it last time for the same price. Absolutely rubbish game. lame story mode. The worst Street Fighter game ever.

I paid £4.97 including delivery for it on launch and its not to bad. I logged in to my rakuten account and had about 4000 points id forgotten about from buying an ipad. Was a sweet deal.

This is way too store specific, not sure why it's got this much heat

As a massive street fighter fan who has spent countless hours on sf4, my honest review is that sf5 is a major disappointment and a step down in the franchise. Once you get over the fun factor of owning and playing a new game, you may realise as many already have (incl. pro sf players), that the game feels very, very linear and predictable, whereas every match I had in sf4 felt exciting. Sad really.

How can a fighting game feel linear and predictable? All the capcom pro tour events have been hype as hell! 5000 entrants at evo, says it all really.
Had the game from the start, have gone off it past month or so, not sure if i will get back into it but doesnt feel as fun to play as sf4 did. What do others think?

Really enjoyed the game being a SF nut. But I understand what you mean about going off it as I haven't played it for about 2 weeks. Really hated the poor matchups between the leagues.

Yeah its just not very satisying is it?
SF4 much better - USF4 so many characters etc
I know they are releasing characters every few months BUT its not enough!
The survival mode is ok but needs to be full on without breaks! I want a relentless survival and proper Arcade mode!!
Not really bother about the latest Story Expansion - once again not enough fighting which is surely what its all about

I think that this game was a waste of time for everyone involved, catered heavily to the pro gamer crowd thus alienating casuals and standard mainstream gamers and in all is just an incomplete mess.

I think its better than SF4, no FADC bull, input buffer, less vortex, make it both a more approachable and honest game IMO.

Which is ironic because they were so adamant about keeping more casual players around, but that requires actual content and solid online on launch. :stuck_out_tongue:

Has the classic arcade mode with online challengers been updated on this yet?

Played this, was highly dissapointed. Went straight back to USF4. Sometimes newer is not better

That's cheeky, I thought characters were released for free straight into the game, not bein behind a wall.[/quote]
Characters are currently in the single player mode & available to buy with Fight Money earned through completing challenges, trails, the single player story mode or facing other human opponents online.

Heat for the price (sort of), but £20 is what this game should have been released as at launch. Barebones, or - if you can be chewed - time, expense and effort to get the game up to snuff. Personally, ANY previous SF is a better option than this, barring the original perhaps.

Aww come on, why can't it be anywhere near this price on PC? PC's meant to be cheap xD

Cheapest I could find it for PC was on ebay, about £22 - 23 if that helps, of it you prefer Instant-Gaming has it at £23.50 right now. :innocent:

Good price, but Capcom are an absolute joke. There are too many issues still present within the game, which would be fine if the core of it was diverse enough to keep people around, but only the more dedicated fighting game players will stick with it.

To be honest, it's a five week old deal now is this. Stock was on the shortage when it was first posted back then. I'm not even sure if there's a way to purchase it online?
The few stores I just checked now are all showing OOS.

Just to expand on that, there are a few stores showing stock / low stock. It might be best calling ahead first. Many times I have been to purchase things it's shown as in stock online to be told their systems aren't really up to date.
