I just heard that Half Life 3 has been passed over to Gearbox - wooohooo!!! Randy Pitchfork has said "Gordon Will Speak" Wooohooooo!!!! Adam Sandler will voice the wise crackin' Gordon and Queen Latifa will be a-side-kickin as Alyxxx Vance (she insisted on the extra x's to give it the extra spice she's surely gonna bringa). The Sauce engine has been modernised with the advanced interaction of the Colonial Marines engine which allows a true non-linear gameplay experience where sometimes you'll have to find alternative routes because one of your companions, or enemies has got stuck in a doorway and suddenly gains the powers of immunity to grenades and bullets - something previous incarnations of Half-Life could not even dream of doing. So thinking-cap on, "Gordon" how are you going to silver-jaw your way out of this situation!!

Yeah I'd love to see Portal 3 too. I'm currently re-playing Portal 2 at the moment and forgot just how awesome it is. Makes todays games look shameful by comparison!

I booted up HL2 for the first time in probably 5 years at the weekend. Still graphically impressive and for a 12 year old game the physics are outstanding!
Still scared of Ravenholm though.

Interesting - because around the time HL2 was released, Troika made much better use of the Source Engine with Vampire : Bloodlines. Buggy as hell yes, but those have pretty much been sorted by fan patches, and the fact still stands they outdid Valve at Valve's own engine.

Nah. They decided the amount they reap through selling other people's games deems actually doing what they were created to do no longer worth bothering with. Sorry.
