Visionary director J.J. Abrams brings to life the motion picture event of a generation. As Kylo Ren and the sinister First Order rise from the ashes of the Empire, Luke Skywalker is missing when the galaxy needs him most. It's up to Rey, a desert scavenger and Finn, a defecting stormtrooper, to join forces with Han Solo and Chewbacca in a desperate search for the one hope of restoring peace to the galaxy.

Heat added for the deal not for the film (thought it was just a rehash of Ep IV)

Heated for the price, as far as the film itself the less I say the better :smirk:

IMO, 'they' can't just throw the old actors in and hope it will work, not in an action movie like Star Wars. Carrie Fisher and finally Mark Hamil looked awful. With Superman and Batman, they found replacement actors.Of course, that was easier. But something should have been done, given the amazing heights of film technology nowadays. The replacements for the original Star Trek crew have been well done IMO (surpisingly directed by the same director)

I enjoyed the film. I loved the original Star Wars trilogy as a child and still have a deep affection for them. I thought Daisy Ridley was wonderful. I thought the older characters were sensitively handled. They weren't made to do anything that made them look ridiculous. They just acted like their characters had grown old - which of course they had. I thought the prequel trilogy was poorly handled. Almost as if George Lucas never really understood what made his original trilogy special in the fist place. JJ Abrams at least seems to have got his head round the important parts.

It just looked ridiculous, all the old characters really were old! And the new ones were without any character. By the time they bring out the next episode, the old characters will be on zimmer frames!

Because they are old? I mean, Harrison Ford is in his 70s, and both Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher are in their 60s, and the film itself is set like 20+ years after the end of return of the jedi, so of course they're going to look older.

I've been holding off on a 3D/extended release... but it doesn't look as though that will happen anytime soon and this is a great price. Heat!

The prerequisite to posting a Force Awakens deal is a "You made a typo, title should say Episode 4" comment.
Personally I enjoyed the film. Head added.
