Why not just buy an empty steelbook on eBay, leave it in the shelf, and if someone asks, where the disc is, give them a slap and tell them that you don't need the disc as the info is fed to the ps4 via the force.

I guess I forgot we are in an age that when a game is released, it's actually 50% content complete, with DLCs/Season Passes being continually developed.

I seriously regret buying this digitally now. Not because it's naff or anything, (as we've discussed a million times, it's a great little pick up and play title that's great for Star Wars fans) but I really like the £5.99 steelbook from Amazon.

Can you still go online with pre-owned PS4 games?
Or does it vary game to game?
Currently don't have ps4, only ps3.
And I know with PS3, you needed an online code sometimes, and once used, you had to buy it again from the PSN store, if you were using a pre-owned game.

You can say that when its full rrp but at 20 and below then its a bargain and a great game, I played it to platinum and never got bored my only issue is I lag because my area and rubbish connection id like to know what games you consider great to say this is QUOTE "tripe" UNQUOTE

It's a great game At reduced price it got hate online because people paid £50 plus on day of release for deluxe version and then £40 for season pass and it's not got enough content to justify all that but sub £20 it really is a cracking bit of Star Wars fun.

Not bad, but given that I bought it last week for £11.50 new from Amazon, not great either. Shame Amazon put it back up to 18 quid or so.

No. The artwork on the steelcase is nice enough, but it's a standard flat finish with no embossing or 3D holographic gimmickery. I was a little disappointed by it, and sold it on eBay.

As mentioned that is for extra content, there is a number of maps, modes, characters etc and you can play those with the base game and a PS+ sub, by all accounts the amount in the base game isn't great but probably worth £10.

This will be even better when they bring out the single player missions soon - so, no more just online playing (info just leaked).

I was holding off buying it because I'm not a fan of playing online and prefer single player missions.

Maybe. We'll have to wait and see, but at £9.99 you can't go wrong IMO. Worth a punt. Screenshots leaked today, so it should be soon.

Battlefront 2 will have single player campaigns, but that's 2017 release.

Good game (much better than most say it is) ruined by the best weapons and star cards only being available if you buy the DLC... giving DLC buyers a huge advantage :smirk:.

Mmmmmmm odd. Very impressive graphics as well... Guess it all depends if you are a SW fan or not. This is the closest thing to 'being' in the SW universe for me and gets more minutes of playtime than the rest of my PS4 games combined.

A faultless game? Far from it. A fun multiplayer game? Absolutely.

And this has just put me off buying it. Seriously, if it wasn't for patches to games I'd still have over half the hard drive left to play with. As it stands, I'm almost full. Add that to the fact the internet in my area is tosh for download speeds, it'd take a full day to download that.

Question - can this be enjoyed purely as a shooter? Basically I have very little knowledge or interest in the universe, but do enjoy MP shooters. Obviously I would enjoy the game more if I liked Star Wars, but as that's not the case, I'm hoping someone can put personal feelings about the franchise aside and give their honest opinion.

I know it's a joke, slightly off topic but I notice Amazon are selling a special edition Steelbook of the new Lego Star Wars game, and that comes with a Season Pass code, it seems games are now shipping and season passes already out, that is outrageous I think, you can sort of understand a year or so down the line when the developers have had more time to put things into the game, but straight away, come on that is admitting that they have released half a game!!

Just got my steelbook from Amazon and wish I hadn't bothered. Unsealed dented and scratched to blazes it looks like it's been sat on the shelf of a 2nd hand shop for weeks :confused:

Mine arrived today. I played the Beta on the PC for a while but wanted the splitscreen version that only the consoles have so held off for a worthwhile price. I now thinkn it's about £10 worth of game.

I can totally see why this game was so heavily criticised as missing a large portion of the game. I can't remember the last I played a game that felt so lacking of any features and modes. Maybe Mario Tennis on the Wii U!

No need for this new to be honest. If you want to spend £8.00 extra to take the cellophane of then fair enough. Other than for a present I think pre-owned is the better option.
