Is there a credit check involved in this only this would be perfect for my daughter but my fixed rate mortgage ends in 3 months and I want to keep the credit checks to a minimum for now.

it's a one month SIM only contract I wouldn't of thought so

have a look at all there deals on uswitch they are using the EE network but seem to be much cheaper

Yes you can change to this tariff from the 1gb tariff at the next refresh date. I did it earlier today for both my accounts

Been with Life for about 6 months now, signal is as good (or better) as I was getting with Vodafone, reliable, and decent customer service. As has been said they use the EE network, but 3g, which is more than fast enough for me.
The only gripe I have with them is their MMS (picture message) pricing. Life don't do an MMS bundle, so you have to pay 40p a pop, and if you're in the Eurozone a shocking 70p! (most other networks in Europe are just a few pence).
Believe me that soon adds up nowadays, and can wipe out the cheap underline monthly rate fairly sharpish without thinking. Worth considering if you're buying it for a youngster (or download whatsapp).

Ps. it's not £1 a minute to call from/make a call to Europe as said somewhere above, it's same as the rest - whilst in Europe it's 4.4p to call a uk mobile from a uk mobile (except Ireland 72p?!), 1p to receive, 1.8p a text. If you're in the uk calling a uk number anywhere in the world it's free for the caller (well it comes out of your allowance).

I just changed from the old £5.95 1GB deal. Essentially the 1.5GB would have been a free update but I opted to pay £3.50 more for 3GB which was my normal usage when i had unlimited data with 3.

You do need to have been with them for 6 months unless you choose to take out a new contract.

Your option would be to cancel your existing contract and tak out a new one. I see that as a benefit of a 30 day rolling contract. Maybe remind them of this?

The 3g speed is fast enough to do what I want at a good price. Only thing they could improve is to creat a app to check remaining allowance. Other than that perfecto

Yes, all monthly tariffs include VAT. Your contract will also come with a £5 'cap', which means if your charges OVER your allowance go over that then all chargeable services are stopped - ie if you are on !,000 minutes and use them, then run up £5 of call charges, your calls will be blocked (but text and data continue until your allowance is reached).

You can increase or decrease your 'cap' by calling customer services.

You also get a text warning when you are approaching your limit.

If moving from EE to Life and after providing PAC code, how long does it take to get my old number with Life mobile?

I also changed from 1gb to 1.5gb. Difference is I lose 500 mins and unlimited text. I don't think I even use 300 mins so not a loss but data is more important.

It's a rolling monthly contract with 30days notice, and as it's 30day notice from either party, Life can choose to raise or lower price / allowances with 30 days notice which you can choose to accept or terminate as you wish.

Just phoned them up and switched from 1500m unlimited texts and 1gb data for £6 to this, they need to send me a new sim which I thought was a bit weird.
Also got them to send me another sim so daughter can switch from Tesco mobile

When they send you a sim card it'll have its own number, you can then either keep this number or if you prefer change it to one you already have - you keep the new sim card either way.

You do not need a current number. This is a new contract that can be availed by anyone (if you pass the checks) which will give you a new number. If you're already with them, you can change your contract to this one or take your old number with you using PAC.

I was on the previous version 1GB version of this deal, which I signed up for a couple of weeks ago. I rang Life yesterday and they swapped me to this 1.5GB deal as of the start of my next billing cycle. Initially they told me they couldn't do it, but the guy I spoke to rang me back a few minutes later and said he'd been told he could do it and he sorted it all out for me there and then.

I'm very happy with the price and service from Life. The big networks, including Life's parent company, EE, could learn a lot from Life's customer service.

Ok checked 10 past 11 yesterday morning.I did have a problem when i clicked through to the direct debit page my name was in a grey shaded box,And would not let me change to a joint a account .So i rang and got a very helpfull Jason who sorted it all out for me.

Recieved my 2 sims today.Just 24 hours from calling customer services, Seems very good customer service..

Got an email acknowledging my order yesterday.
But nothing since...no dispatch or anything....it does state at the bottom that there is no acceptance of order until sim is dispatched.

Life Mobile's customer service is absolutely top notch five star. I only hope nothing changes on that side as they become more popular. If customer service quality is something that matters at all to you then choose Life :wink:
