I personally do find it helpful to know whether an item has been available cheaper in the past. If it weren't relevant to a deal, why do people like to post those Camel graphs on their deals?

Yep, heat, seems a good deal. Personally, and as had been said in plenty of other discussions, if 500gb is not going to be enough, neither is 1tb. I'd upgrade to 2tb at least, that seems about the right size imo.

Seems a great deal. What's the cheapest you can get a 500gb console & 1tb HDD atm?

The price of ps4 will drop soon though. Besides it would be a bit stupid to buy this at this price (unless you don't really care about a 'good' deal) given that it was cheaper more than 6 months ago.

Doesn't feel like a great price IMO. Might be the best current price but that doesn't make it a "hot deal".

I did the same, but because I was on a much later firmware version Sony's servers got spooked and my console got banned :disappointed: Yet another adverse consequence of messing with time!

For those who don't know, an upgraded version is due to be announced, if that interests you you may wish to hold off until you know more

I'm assuming you're on about the Neo. That along with the Scorpio aren't gonna be cheap. Just look at the prices both MS and Sony charge for an extra measly 500GB when they're first released. Hell, just look at what MS tried to charge us for the X1 when it first came out. I suspect the next consoles are going to be around the £700 and that's probably being conservative.
If you've got that sort of cash to burn on an overpriced steam box, then spending £260 just now isn't going to break your balls.

Why spend £260 now when you can wait and put that money towards a Neo or get an original PS4 for even less?
£700 is not very conservative at all. A very conservative estimate might be £300, I expect it to be $400 or $450 (£240 or £270) in the US, which would probably translate to £300-£350 here.

1- Because nobody knows when PS4 Neo will be available for sale, it could easily be January 2017
2- Because PS4 Neo could easily be for sale for £400
3- Because I don;t plan to buy a 4K tv and it's still not sure if it's really worth the difference if you plan to use it on a 1080p tv
3- Because I recently got a Thrustmaster wheel and I want to use it now with Driveclub, Project Cars and with Asetto Corsa in one month.

Doesn't matter. If you want a PS4 you may as well wait so you can get a Neo or a cheaper standard PS4. In the unlikely event it's £400 you can at least make an informed decision but chances are it'll be less than that and the standard PS4 will be less than that.
Nothing wrong with warning people, by the way, if they choose to ignore it they can't say they weren't warned.

Of course there is nothing wrong warning people, but people could be informed and still wanting to get the PS4 now instead of waiting to see how many of the rumours related to the PS4 Neo turn to be reality.
That’s why after giving my PS4 to my little brother I would get a PS4 this week.
I only would wait for the PS4 Neo if we already had a confirmed price, confirmed release date & gameplay video comparing PS4 vs. PS4 Neo with 1080p tv.

But? I wasn't telling people otherwise, no "but" needed.
You can do what you want, but I'm sure plenty of people wouldn't mind waiting a few months to find that out and then making an informed choice. I know I'd be a bit annoyed finding out that I could have saved £50 by waiting 6 months

PS4s will drop when the PS4 Neo is announced, but don't expect bargain basement prices. Sony will not drop the price of the original PS4 too much. If the original is too cheap, no one opts for the more expensive option. We should hopefully see prices drop by at least £30 though.
Latest rumours are it will be launching around September or October, but nothing concrete yet.
I was going to buy the PS4 and Uncharted bundle yesterday. Got home at 10 and went to buy it and it was sold out. Sods law.
One thing I find hilarious with all of these price drops are that sellers on Gumtree and Ebay are not dropping prices. People think that because they paid £400 for a console three years ago it's worth £250 or £300; despite the fact you can buy it new with a guarantee etc for less.
titooo
13 Jul 16#31
of course some people will prefer to wait.
you just questioned why would people want to buy it now and I just explained my point, that's it.
I wasn't pretending to have a big argument

I got that bundle and I'm going to return it (I bought the 1tb one in amazon warehouse deals with the 20% discount).
if you live around london/reading and you don't mind to collect it I can sell the bundle to you for the same price that I paid for it (the prime day price). I just opened the amazon box to enter the return paper. the ps4 box and the game box is sealed
