yeh what's with the sizing? There seems to be no consistency. They must just randomly pick numbers between 40 - 50g. 'What is the size of a Mars Bar this week? The winner is 42.5g. That'll do'

You damn n00b OP, this price isn't for six Snickers, it's for six Choco Caramel bars, Lidl's own brand variant. Fortunately I think they're just as good as the real thing, but this price isn't a deal, it's the standard price.

I was just in Lidl and these were normal price. Also 50/45g is smaller than the 58g fullsize, though they used to be 62g... etc .

I find that with all smaller portions they reduce the size by a third so my family end up having two to make up for it. Then you've ended up with more than you would have had with one normal size portion. Making them smaller is counter productive. Unless like said this is not about health but about profit.

Good deal for Mars Bars but ive found that Lidl's own make 'Choco Caramel' alternative tastes pretty much exactly the same and they are always around this price. Heat added as its Mars though

I have stopped buying them, but no sign of the old sizes coming back. Pleased to see that Penguin bars returned to a bigger size a while back, they had become tiny and a total waste of money - I don't think they're as big as they once were, but they've certainly increased the size a bit. One small victory...

100% WRONG!
These are 1.89 I just bought them, LIDL price labels above the product, you have read the wrong price label. I made the same mistake until I opened my eyes.

They should label the 39g multipack Mars bars as fun size and not put them in oversized packaging to con people into thinking they are full size. At least these lidl ones are slightly larger but even then not as big as the bars sold individually. So this should still be marked on the packs. I'm amazed they still get away with this

i bought a 4 pack from sainsburys the other day and it was 4 x 41.7g .. the bars were TINY !! ... annoys the hell out of me how there is no consistency over the size of bars.

And they always justify it by saying something like "We are aware that people are becoming more health conscious and so we have reduced the size of our bar to ensure you can still enjoy our tasty treat whilst maintaining a healthy diet." when really it is "We have decided to make our chocolate bars smaller so we can increase our profits by making more bars with the same amount of ingredients"
Bring back 65g standard! Bring back Kingsize!
