This deal typifies everything that is wrong with society - "it is cheap so it is good". Nobody can deny they like a good deal - however crap apple sauce for 20p... really?! Surely value is the most important thing is one enjoys the product not just the price?

I'm a tight ****,but having bought these previously think its false economy and go for Asda or Aldi own brand for adding to green veg to add sweetness with mint sauce.
never tried one, can anyone tell me what this stuff is? like a jam? How much % of the content is the actual apples?
if this is crap, the jar with a lid is worth something if you make homemade jams? Heck you can't buy an empty jar with a lid for 20p anywhere!

So you get a naff tasteless 20p jar of apple sauce, and put it on your £10 joint of Pork, that youve lovingly seasoned and cooked?
Dont get the logic, and I especially dont get the comment but its 20p.

Don't know who said anything about putting it on a £10 pork joint. Majority of the usage suggestions are for baking. Besides i did say a fancier version was available at 30 something pence aswell if you didn't want this cheaper one.

Some great deals on pork of late, actually. I paid £3 for a lovely 1kg leg at Tesco this weekend - reduced from £5. The savings more than paid for a Bramley apple

It's amazing how shirty people can get over a 20p jar of apple sauce. That really does typify "everything that is wrong with society".

Tried this once and threw in bin. From recollection it is a) extremely low in apple and b) mainly Carboxy-methyl cellulose as in Polycell wall paper paste!

I used to put baby apple and cinnamon pudding plus some sugar betwixt two bits of bread and toast it in the sandwich toaster for a maccy Ds "style" pie, wonder if this is just as good.

probably 70% water, there is probably more 'apple' in smart price apple juice.
