Just bought the Moto 4 g plus for £210...32GB though which i particularly wanted. This seems a good deal though if 16gb is sufficient for you.

i bought the dual sim version from amazon.fr slapped a 200gb sd card in it and it runs marshmallow so uses the 200gb as "memory" so not sure 16gb is an issue as such  (though if you download tons of amazon prime videos to watch later it seems to store them on the phone memory somehow)

greatest battery life ever on this phone, left with 30-40% at the end of the day, and I'm a power user!

I just seem to have issues with SD cards......had a couple where it seems to have been fried. Lost so many photos. Or sometimes apps do not start when they are on SD cards.....i dont know, not very hi-tech when it comes to this stuff, but i was gutted when i lost the sd card photos. So id rather have a larger internal memory.

I have this phone. Battery life is it's usp. I find it just a touch too big for comfortable single hand use.

Good price for this phone but you could get the huawei p9 lite from giffgaff for £200 which has a somewhat better proccessor and graphics and 3gb of ram. It has a smaller screen @ 5.2" (full hd). I think the biggest problem with the huawei is the emui skin. It also has a fingerprint scanner. I just got a p9 and i didnt realise until now, that you can use the finger scanner to unlock the Last Pass app and pay for things on the playstore, pretty cool. Since i think the emui skin is OK with a launcher I would go for that personally. Edit: it has a 3000mah battery too, not bad for a 5.2" screen.
I have the dual sim version, it's slightly better than the moto g4 plus. battery life is good, easily 2 days of light/medium use for me. currently have mine in air plane mode for about 7 days with 50% battery! (no data or updates)

After info provided by Spannerzone I plumped for the dual SIM X Play from Amazon.fr over the Moto G Plus for the following reasons :
Bigger battery
Slightly smaller (and I think slightly better shape and looks)
NFC
Compass
Moto voice control
I do actually use the voice control - mainly when I'm driving. I can switch on bluetooth on the phone and ask it to dial whoever I want with my phone still in my pocket. It's easier than using the in-car dialing.
Advantages of the G Plus over the X Play are :
Fingerprint recognition
Gyroscope
Slightly better camera (according to youtube review)
Slightly faster (according to youtube review)
Fast charger included (though Quick charge 2.0 chargers are about £10 on Amazon)
I also bought a couple of the X Play single SIM phones for my sister and her son for about £135 from Amazon Warehouse on Prime day when they had 20% off all warehouse deals. Both pristine and a good deal I think.

Scorching deal! For the price there isn't anything UK based that touches this.

True but my p9 (not lite version) takes 12mp photos and I think so does the saumsung s7 and they are both meant to be really good. Seems like there is a trend of less MP's is flagships right now. I'm not saying the motorola plays is better or worse than the one on the huawei p9 lite because I havent researched the play's camera but Ive read that the one of the huawei p9 lite, although not flagship quality, is still pretty decent.

Got a LG G4 and was just looking at getting one of these as I do like the Moto, not much difference in the 2 phones except the battery life on the Moto is much better. cracking deal if you are thinking upgrade or replacment for an older LG or Moto

Loved this phone when I had it. Only got rid as I got a good deal on the S7 otherwise for the price it was brilliant..... Do miss the screen size

This or the P9 Lite? I really like the intuitiveness of the P9 Lite's fingerprint sensor, being used to bring stuff up like the app tray. But the battery of this moto is also very appealing...

I don't know which one you would prefer but to help you decide here is a good review of the huawei p9 lite

My X Play battery life has taken a plummet lately, not sure why, even on aeroplane mode overnight I'm losing around 15% when it used to be around 2% overnight not on aeroplane mode. The battery usage analysis doesn't really seem to point to a culprit either...
