A blast from gaming's FMV past, all three of the 'Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective' titles can be had for just 99p in Steam's Weeklong Sale. For the sake of comparison, outside of a sale these games are priced at 1.99 each.
I should point out though that there's not a Cumberbatch in sight. I'll let you decide whether that's a positive or negative.
If the above triple pack doesn't sate your appetite for old-school adventuring then the MacAdventure series is also on sale this week. While the HD remake of 'Shadowgate' isn't included, the other four games can be had for a grand sum of £1.49. There's a link below.

I don't believe so, no. However, I'm also pretty sure that Steam is the only place you can actually find these games anymore (barring, of course, possession of the original physical discs and the hardware needed to play them).
Jesus, I remember playing these in the early 90's on my PC Engine Duo-r.

Have a look at Her Story or Contradiction if you like FMV. I'm keeping an eye out for The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker too. Tesla Effect if you like point and click with FMV.

I've been waiting for 'Contradiction' to come down in price for a while. I've never heard of 'The Infectious Madness' but I'll have to keep an eye out for it now.

The Bunker looks promising too. Production values seem decent, story by the writers of SOMA & The Witcher.
