I have been to two Morrison's in Derbyshire, and saw Serrano ham reduced from £10 to £4 by the Deli counter in a presentation box. The box includes wooden chopping board and knife. This sells on the Deli counter for £1.88 per 100g, so bargain at this price both stores had loads of boxes with best before date 27/08/2016, but the meat will last months in a cool place.

Hope its on offer for 4 quid at my morrisons. Love that kinda ham.

Had one a few weeks ago from Ecclesfield (Sheffield) reduced. It was better than I expected, most Jamon sold in the UK is pretty poor.

Wont last months in a cool place as it has been taken off the bone. If you have one on the bone they can keep for a longer time but pieces like this only keep a week or two in the fridge at most.
I wouldn't hold out much hope for the quality as even the £99 Lidl jamon iberico on the bone proved to be very poor when compared to a decent jamon.

Agree with you, Lidl jamon was very poor quality. Aldi was much better.

If it is dated best before 27/8/2016 (that's 6 weeks from now) it will certainly last a further six weeks after that.

They had 5 on the reduced shelves in Cardiff, Newport Rd, on Sunday, for £3.50, but between myself and one other lady, we bought the lot. The chopping board is a joke - more like a pine shed board cut into 6 inch squares and the knife went straight in the bin. But the ham seems nice. Ideally need some way of shaving off very thin slices, as no knife seems suitable. I'm having it on my sandwiches today.

Spoke too soon. Just had a slice - nasty stuff with horrible aftertaste. So bad I spat it out...ahh well :disappointed:
