Good price for the school holidays, but is it worth travelling all that way just for 7 nights, you won't see a lot in that time in Florida there are six Disney parks to start without all the other attractions such as Busch Gardens, Universal, Downtown Disney Sea World , Shopping Malls etc. etc., Absolutely brilliant place but expensive when you factor in all the theme park tickets car hire etc.

Great price for school hols. A week is doable if you've got a plan of what you want to do.

August is NOT a good time to be in Florida - mad dogs and Englishmen weather. Spring half term is perfect. Ask a local!

It hasn't reached 42c in Orlando area for a long time, if at all. Sorry, it's just something that rattles my cage. however, with heat index taken into account, it will certainly feel hot. 36c has been hit over last week or so.

It wasn't in the shade, it was in direct sunlight on way down the 192 at 3PM in the car.
Humidity was over-powering as well.

I completely agree.
The temperature reading on the car when it been parked in the sun all day is not an accurate reading!
According to Wikipedia 'The city's highest recorded temperature is 103 °F (39 °C), set on September 8, 1921

Was showing 41c on car outside temp when we were there in June went down to 39c going 75mph on i5
Dont know how accurate car temp is but felt pretty hot.
Would not think car temp far out as ecu needs accurate air temp reading for correct fueling (car was in shade as well)
Would thought July be bit hotter never been in july though

It was showing higher 20 minutes after leaving park than it was as we entered the car in the parking lot by about 5oF.
102oF to 107oF.
Just saying.

I don't think anyone is disputing what you say , just the accuracy (or complete lack of) of the vehicles temperature reading
I can imagine that it was Hot though  Feel like temperatures can also push up the heat and make it feel much hotter than it is but those figures are not usually recorded.
Talking of heat , it is 404 degrees in here right now but that's sat in my car !! I'll log in again when I get home and see if its any different  .... Heat added btw , great price this !! Sadly a week is much too short for us to consider but may suit some.

The price is worth it just for direct flights, you don't have to use the accompanying. However I do agree this hotel does not have the best reputation

Hmm, I still stand that driving along the road and watching the temp rise to that figure and then dropping 30 minutes later further down the road as I still drove to around 100 was accurate of the temp in direct sunlight.
The readout for the most part hovered around 95-100 for the duration of the two weeks unless the storms came where it would drop as low as 77.
Yes, it's not the official temp that is recorded in the shade but it was the actual temp that you were exposed to when outside.
The car's temp gauge showed 83 in the garage and then 93 after 5 minutes out on the drive. The pool thermometer in the villa was showing 91 in the shade at the same time.
Pretty accurate to me.
