this one is not a typical usb flash. It is an ssd with ssd controller without trim. Therefore, if you fill up the usb and delete the content, the next time you write on it, you will experience slower write speed (~100MB/s). If you try to format it, the write speed will drop to 3MB/s. If you want to get your speed back, you have to do ATA secure erase (the one for ssd). Just a little warning as I also just have bought this usb:D

Very good USB stick (i have 2) and they are super quick.
Only thing to note is that they arent good for installing Windows from, as the BIOS doesnt seem to recognize it.
I read somewhere (cant find the source now) that the technology in these is closer to an SSD than a traditional USB flash drive, hence why windows wont install from it.

That may be due to which USB port you use for the install as some USB 3.0 ports use 3rd party controllers and that can be the issue.
If you have that problem try seeing if your system also has native Intel USB 3.0 and try those.
If that doesn't work try a USB 2.0 port.
Some older systems I have tried will only boot from my old USB 2.0 sticks and not this Sandisk or my Kingston USB 3.0 sticks.
This may be a separate issue but figured it is worth mentioning.

Beast of a USB, speeds are incredible and at that price, it's worth it. I only don't like the build quality but that's a minor issue.

I like it, and this is the fastest USB stick around, but I would suggest the 128gb samsung bar for around the same price and slower speed (140mb/s read, 100mb/s write) I have both these, and I prefer the durable build of the samsung which sits on my keyring. The speed is still excellent, especially since most of my devices are USB2, which therefore limits speed to about 30mb/s read/write.
Got mine from Tesco last month for £17.00. Super quick, love it.

I have one also and it's the real deal...paid £25 for mine and that was a good price then. I get bang on those read and write speeds when copying large files, not often you can say the quotes speeds match up.
