it is reduced from £1399. I think is a good deal, however everyone can decide for himself

So sad to see what they say to customers in their stores. Saw one conversation where they told a guy he had to buy £80 gold plated hdmi cables otherwise the 4K wouldn't work.

Probably better with the KS7000 - newer model and hdr.
Good find for those that can't stretch to a few more hundred though. Have some heat

All the OLED hype boys lmao I have a new Samsung 4K LED TV far cheaper and it's the best picture I've ever seen

I got the 55 of this , cannot grumble , got a whole £40 back with cash for goals , slight banding on panning but don't they all if you run the right YouTube test video ! 4K Netflix and YouTube looks awesome , no edge bleeding and once you turn off all the pants features and use a online forums guide to doing picture perfect in film mode it looks pretty sweet, cannot see how oled would be better unless it was only £100 - £200 more z

How can you not see how OLED is not better. It's a completely different product and the future. Your talking crazy.

Works with a ps4 controller too and plex built in app makes films look loads better than my old now tv boxs (1080p)

But buy it from somewhere else , Currys are shocking , when I last rang them , (u cannot ring the actual store ) I got transferred 5 times including to deliveries dept, they then transferred me direct to manufacturer of product without even telling me. Shocking tbh - u have been warned

As I said at the price difference I cannot see how it is justified, the future currently yes maybe, until the next best thing which will be priced at 1k above normal pricing minimum, all I know is I needed a tv now @ a good price and the 55" @ £799 was / is fine, yes oled is better but not enough to justify the money , that said let all people with £££ to burn adopt early oled - I am not against it and loved plasma compared to led but a decent led is all the average man wants for his wedge nowadays as their is no other option, so yes this is a good tv

Oh and yes your right it is a completely different product at a completely different price yet can do no more than a £200 smart tv in all honesty. I am talking sense, you have been brainwashed crazy.

Unless you live in the past how is OLED the future? It's available now! it's like when people refer to ps4 games as 'next gen' it's current gen peeps..

As my recent eye test states i have 20/20 vision so yeah thanks for you're input mate OLED have way to many issues with burn in and HDR doesn't look nearly as good on OLED it's overpriced when OLED works the creases out and becomes affordable then I will give it a shot as £3,000 isn't affordable to the average joe
This is a good deal for the average person, for the geeks like me go with the 7000 10 bit panel.
Oled doesn't work for the average person, light rooms it struggles, darker cinema environments it's great, but 2 grand great? I don't think so

Please remember. NOT everyone can afford OLED. So this is a fab price for a decent TV.
Not fair to keep putting it down because some of you have more money than sense.
We all like a bargain and that's why we're ALL on here. X

I bought the 1080p version of this a year ago for 799 as a stop gap until OLED becomes more affordable. Lush screen and the interface is pretty slick.

Mate that Samsung tv is £4000 it should look good. The OLED I'm talking about is the 910v and that's £1300 with 6 year guarantee.

You can't beat the UE65JS9000, for £899. This isn't in the same league. That one has a 9000 series engine. This one has a 6000 engine. It's like comparing a BMW to a Renault.

Where is this unicorn you speak of? Is it a current offer? Cheapest I can find is around 2k. I imagine if anything at that price it wasn't brand new. Please advise as it may stop me going Oled.

Advice please, not too clued up on spec and a budget of £1000, so what is best, the above Samsung 60" tv or this SONY BRAVIA KD55X8509C Smart 3D 4k Ultra HD 55" LED TV for £799, I have a large living room and sit a fair distance back. Thanks

The Sony pictures are stunning although be prepared for laggyness through menus.
Samsung, in mine and many others opinion, is of too poor a build quality to justify nearly £1000

Superb TV. I snapped up the 50" version for £629 recently and the picture is staggeringly good. Yes, OLED is wonderful, but I don't fancy taking out a new mortgage for a telly. :stuck_out_tongue:
Don't forget this has a 5 year warranty thrown in, too.

Follow the setup guide here for an awesome-looking picture: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPy4N5NDERk (I changed to Warm1 and Gamma of 0, though - just my preference)
Lots of other suggested tweaks and settings in the AV Forums owners thread, too: https://www.avforums.com/threads/samsung-ue-ju6800-4k-tv-owners-thread.1979754/

Currys increased it to 899 for 1 day, now back to 799.
RS and John Lewis both increased to 899
