Bit of niche product but one that has my gadget buying tendencies on edge and will be used quite a lot in my household.
Not exactly a common product in the UK and only a handful of retailers seem to stock it.
The ones that do carry it, have it on for £499.99 and that is only for the black version.
I have been looking at the white version and when buying through amazon.de the price finishes up at £443.65.

I have no doubt that you can get many things for the money but that is irrelevant, This is a site for deals (being cheaper than retail) and this is.
I have a tv with a smart box (and many other gadgets) but I can't carry my TV and smart box into any room, outside, on holiday etc....and it covers a lot of bases for use in our household (mainly myself and the kids)
Considering it's a decent spec'd tablet and decent brand with an 18.4" screen i'd say it's not to shabby value wise.

I have one of these and I love it. I've taken it to friends bbqs and watched football and F1 in the garden! Used it in the kitchen for music and watch films in bed with it.i honestly love it
Some comments say it's not worth it. The OP insists this is a deal site and this qualifies as a deal.
For what it's worth, I check this site not just to see if it's cheaper but to see if it's value for money at the cheaper price. If interested I'll compare to any alternative if available. This may be a deal but doesn't seem like value for money.

I agree with some of what your saying but that is personal opinion.
now if the site was called valueformoney.com you'd be spot on
When you say this isn't value for money when comparing it to alternatives, what are the alternatives?

Neither of which are in any way similar to what this offers.

I know a guy who owns one of these and he loves it.
but you must understand it's really not a typical tablet,it's more like an portable smart tv.
the stand cannot be removed and You cant lay it flat.
the resolution is not very hight but its a unique product and has its own purpose.
you really cannot compare it with any other product in the market.

for instance just having a quick look on the app I see there is a new look dress/suit thing for £4. absolutely of no interest to my family or I and I have no idea what they sell for but £4 seems to be the cheapest it has been so that in my eyes constitutes a deal.

if something in sports direct is cheaper than anywhere else then yes it constitutes a deal.
the site was built upon people finding and providing product at a cheaper selling point than the standard retail price.
A person's personal viewpoint on said product is largely irrelevant, of course more information be it constructive is always welcomed but there are dedicated consumer websites that provide critique (along with the retailers user reviews)

I don't understand where this 'it's cheaper than retail so must be a deal' comes from? Does that mean everything in Sports Direct is an incredibly good deal?
How good a deal is is based on the price and product. Obviously it's subjective, hence why some think it's good, some don't.

compare it with a decent brand standard sized tablet with similar spec, then factor in the huge screen and personally the price point doesn't seem too high.
I'll say it again though, the above is irrelevant it's cheaper than the UK retail price therfore it constitutes a deal.

I can honestly say, unless you use this on a table this will be a pain to use. I had the 12" Note Pro and although it was a beast of a tablet, it's portability was questionable.
Hot for the price though

amazon have upped the price by 5 euros overnight, that coupled with the exchange rates adds about £9 to the original price.

there isn't tonnes of information about it but from the YouTube videos, Amazon reviews etc it gets the thumbs up.
At first people were a bit dubious about an non-removable stand but after prolonged use found it became pretty much essential and made it more user friendly.
for the price point you're not getting a top end spec tablet, you're getting a mid range spec'd tablet with a huge screen.

Looks interesting. Can the stand thingy be removed? What's the battery life like?
EDIT review on Engadget is a bit meh http://www.cnet.com/uk/products/samsung-galaxy-view/
Battery life 8 or 9 hours continuous use, stand cannot be removed so tablet cannot lie flat, poor screen resolution and speakers

 Surely you can get a good high spec laptop/tablet for that price or less. For this price you could get a cheap 4k tv with an android box or stick.
