From what i can gather, The motion rate is 120HZ? Not the best, not the worst either.

for the price of this TV I would look elsewhere, the lag is good but with it being a VA panel you get ghosting on fps games, I'm assuming that's what you play if your asking about lag

Ok. But what is input lag?

Age old LCD with LED backlighting calling itself a LED screen..
What's the point of a 4K on a 43"? Are people planning to use it as a monitor?

Not everyone sits at the other side of their room from their TV. One of my TVs is mounted above my pc monitor for console gaming, 43" would be massively overkill in such an environment.

Only 8 bit panel and is it HDR 10? doubt it
houston26 to Justsuperman

hdr 10 compatible.
so basically it just processes it, not display it, if it's an 8 bit panel, where did you find that spec?

The first one had probably the worst vertical banding on any TV I've seen plus judder. The second one had moderate banding, judder, and also blinked on and off for about 3 minutes after turning it on. Also, the build quality is poor because it's an entry level TV. I wouldn't be sidetracked by the 4K/HDR nonsense - the important thing is how good a panel it has.
ghosting shouldn't be an issue with most games, mainly cod and the likes.
hdr is high dynamic range, basically more colours to get more realistic hues and more detail in dark and light areas.
8 bit is blu ray, 10 bit + is uhd territory.
shouldn't let any of this worry you. next to no content right now and if I'm honest once your watching a programme more than 2 mins you just forget.

Because it's more detailed than a 1080....and not everyone is blind as a bat?
houston26
2 Jul 16#25
but he is half right. 4k (well not really, technically it's uhd) is a bit of a waste on a 43, a good panel 1080 screen would be much better, but not as future proof.
but age old LCD? and it's not back lit as its led. stupid comment.

Bought one today, there were some worrying things about it like weird motion blur but after I updated it, its been great at 4k, 4k hdr (netflkix and amazon prime) and gaming so far, been using a ps4 and a steam link. Thanks  big upgrade over the tv I have already, but bought this one for my bedroom.

You will only see the benefits of 4K UHD on a 55" screen and above.
However 1080p panels are being phased out fast as 4K is now the standard in all TV's regardless of their size even though there is barely any 4K content available. So whether you don't want or can't take advantage 4K your getting it.

Have you watched normal daytime TV like EastEnders? Hows that let us know please...!!!
I watch a lot of daytime, night-time tv like big brother, love island etc... so its very important for me!
and there's absolutely no problem playing ps4 games? no lags? no delays? I play a lot of COD, GTA, ONLINE!
Justsuperman
2 Jul 162#32
Not true, the smaller the screen the sharper the 4K as it's the same pixels on a smaller screen the bigger the screen the more stretched the pixels become! it's untrue that statement.. The PPI is higher on a smaller screen!

I don't actually watch tv, but will buy a lead to plug it into the aerial socket tomorrow, I don't play many twitch shooters but gave it a go on Gta V and watch dogs and driving about etc felt responsive, with no lag I could notice, also did a few hours of dark souls with no problem.
I'm very very pleased with it is all I can say! A silly little thing, but I liked being able to rename the hdmi connections to ps4 etc and give them their own icons (even if it was an Xbox controller lol)

Bit late now but will try do a video tomorrow of it if you like, although will be holding my phone so won't be able to show me playing, you will be impressed with the picture I think, the good thing is it being in currys you can see it before you buy and they had no problem applying the code in store for me.

you can change the icons on this TV too. but can't rename them, just game, PC etc

3 Jul 16#37
I was able to rename them too, sorry wasn't clear, meant I liked this feature! Just got the aerial lead for it as well, sd channels are ok, but it also has the hd channels for bbc itv chan 4 and 5 which are a lot better. Also noticed I had to use the game icon for the steam link hdmi connection before I was able to select game mode for the picture to reduce input lag. Still very pleased!

houston26
9 Jul 16#43
I do, but the 55 version. very impressed so far, had screen tearing at first and was ready to send it back till I noticed it doesn't auto update the firmware. all done now and not has any issues since.
sound is decent, but I have a soundbar so no biggie for me.
only gripe is no Bluetooth on this model, so if your planning on using PlayStation now then your controller needs to be plugged into USB port.
no iplayer app, but you can use the browser, but sadly not even HD doing it this way. again no biggie for me as I have the fire stick plugged in.

I got it worst when little one was watching Kung Fu Panda, but since update it's been trouble free.
I got told this TV wouldn't do blacks well, obviously sales person didn't have a clue. it's not oled levels but still very impressive.
