Does this guitar work with Guitar Hero?
Is it any better than the one which comes with the new GH game?

The guitar won't work with GH. They've introduced a totally new layout for GH with a different number of buttons, if you play both games you'll need two separate guitars.

Probably a good saving however I feel this game really is pointless (like my post no doubt) but why not get Rocksmith and actually learn with a real guitar rather than twang a plastic thing in the middle of a fake guitar and well learn nothing but twang a plastic thing in the middle of a fake guitar ?
Possibly cheaper to buy this guitar shaped game controller but get your kids into something more practical, more fun playing smoke on the water while drunk on someone elses accoustic in their house than getting a spatula from the kitchen and pretending to play something right ?
/rant over.

As someone who's played both quite a bit, they're very different experiences. Rocksmith isn't a game, it's more a learning tool if you want to learn guitar. This is more a fun game that you can pick up and play whenever you want. I've definitely played this/guitar hero more than Rocksmith as it's more enjoyable to me.

I can't believe people are still staying this stuff after a decade. They're very different things.

Okay sure, can you link me to a deal with Rocksmith and a guitar for £40?

Must remember to grab some grenades from Argos instead of playing call of duty

Wow, you still don't get it...
I don't want to learn to play a real guitar, it doesn't interest me
I want to pick up a controller and pretend i'm playing for a quick bit of escapism
Please don't post in the COD or Battlefield threads  (as alluded to above)

You know a lot of drummers started out with spatulas. Pro-Tip: This game can be played with midi drums, so you may want to research what you are trying to condemn
